You got it right, some things are just they playing around, making fun and teasing, some are just them being comfortable with each other, but yes, some are fan service 😍 JM is "short" (way taller than me, but ok...) and "light" (compared to the other members) and JK is known to be strong and go to gym, so even when he's exercising or on choreographies it's not unusual to see JK carrying him around.
