His voice is so majestic. He sang two very memorable Disney classic songs. He sang the Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion (first time I ever heard her) and A Whole New World With Regina Bell. Both were radio hits.

My cousin sang backup for Peabo back in the 1980s and 1990s. I was young at the time so I didn't get to know what was really going on. She had good things to say about him. I just remember them always traveling to Asia and Europe. That was the first time I realized how popular R&B is in some of those countries. She still sings but is now an independent artist.

Yeah, Peabo is a great singer. He has a deep discography that spans the 70's - 2018 (Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced his last album). Interesting that you compare him to Luther because Luther contributed background vocals to his first album, along with Cissy Houston (Whitney's mother). He wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on that album. My favorite Peabo song is "If Ever You're In My Arms Again." And I love his duets: w/ Roberta Flack - Tonight I Celebrate My Love, The Closer I Get To You, You're Lookin Like Love To Me, You Are My Heaven, etc. w/ Celine Dion - Beauty & the Beast (B&B theme) w/ Regina Belle - A Whole New World (Aladdin theme) w/ Natalie Cole - What You Won't Do For Love (cover of Bobby Caldwell's very popular version) More Peabo songs to check out: Show and Tell (remake of Al Wilson), Feel the Fire (covered TWICE by Stephanie Mills; she also does a great live duet of this with Christopher Williams who you've reacted to before), Reaching For the Sky, God is on Our Side Side-note: I met him when I was a child.
