I didn't think anyone would have the patience to build a 40 km orbital elevator. I only had enough for Titan - 3 km. The lower the gravity, the lower the Strength and Friction of the wheels should be, but an orbital elevator was not the goal of this project. Thanks for the review!

the original one was made by Aragath who designed some of the 'official' ships you find in-game through Economy, official custom scenarios and loading screens

This reminds me of that old EpikTek video series from back in 2015-2016 where Epik Tetus built a space elevator in survival mode. He had to get around the grid length limit using conveyor connectors and Landing Gear.

Oh man I haven't thought about those in a hot minute. His MBT inspired my first workshop ship

@@chiaeagle6720 Haha, yeah, those were the days. I actually made my KZbin account back in my first year of college just so I could comment on the MBT Trailer building and launch stream.

there was someone i watched a bunch of a while ago who did multiple videos on trying to make space elevators work in SE, and doing insane testing things like making giant space ramps and stuff...

Isn't this from the space engineers start screen/loading screen?

Even without the track extension getting up to low gravity for a "transfer station" makes sense. Magplate connections instead of a merge block? Piston out, starter with magplate(s), piston back to connect. Then continue on.

You should check out my Corriva Monorail design, very similar concept except using the new corridor blocks as the rails and a very compacted design. Seems both of us ran into the same speed limit tho, mine can do 65m/s but it sounds pretty clangy. Love that hanger bay door bridge, def gonna try and implement that in future builds.

Man I wish trains and elevators where more practical

wow that is a lot of building i am surprised that fighter made it back safely

Made it back safer then the Elevator platform at least 😅

@JackRPG I have an issue with this, i download frome the workshop the whole project. In trying to copying that in a survival world but how can i create or copy the platform part cause i cannot with the projector... Pls helppp? :'(

I have something cool I will post on the workshop soon as I'm finished 😊

you use sub grids for the elevator section

Dos it work with block damage turned on?
@survivalready72802 ай бұрын
If you mean thruster block damage range, the elevator does not use thrusters. So yes, it works.
@timhartherz56522 ай бұрын
@@survivalready7280 No i mean is it eventually going to tear itself apart in survival with standard settings, i experienced this quite often with rail systems.
@survivalready72802 ай бұрын
@@timhartherz5652 At a speed of 15 m/s I don't think it will fall apart. At least there was no clanging noise.
