Hello all! Do you think it's better to grow up in a small family or a large extended family?😀
@learning_being3 жыл бұрын
I think a functioning large family is better. I speak from my own experience. I’m an only-child and I grew up in a quite small family.

Hello Jack. In my opinion, I prefer to grow up in a small family. I mean to have less brothers and sisters because if we have had a big family, it would be getting less good chances, that due to my dad was poor when I was young. I don't know how to express my thoughts about it in English. Even though I grew up in an extended family. I have lots of brothers, sisters, uncles, and aunts, but I don't like that for several reasons. You know, in Saudi Arabia, most couples would like to have large families. Sorry, my English is still unable to explain all what I want to say. Thanks a bunch Jack for these fabulous topics.
@JacksEnglish3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing, Layla! You have expressed well but I'll just adjust the first section: ...if we had a big family, we would get less good chances, and that was due to my dad being poor when I was young. Good work!

I believe the latter is much better because you can have fun and share valuable memories with your cousins, brothers and sisters as you grow up together. I'll never forget going outside in the street or going to the pitch with my cousins and spend hours playing football until dinner time. ⚽

Nice answer! In terms of IELTS feedback, the content is great, but it needs to be structured better with commas and full stops. In speaking, this would be shown with your intonation and pauses. Apart from that, change 'I felt jealousy' to 'I felt jealous'. Thanks for sharing👍
