My friends house had a secret door under his basement and had a box full of some strange belongings that the previous owner kept. He had found out about the secret door when a couple (man and women) knocked on his door to ask if they can look under his stairs. He asked who they and why do they want to look and they said “treasure from our friend that used to live here” from the previous owner. My friend told them that he doesn’t feel comfortable with them coming in and that he will look and let them know. Turns out that they knew the previous owner. And the previous owner had a lot of money. I told my friend to do some research on the previous owner and to make sure to install a security camera and locks for his house. Turns out that the previous owner was murdered 2 years prior from when my friend had bought the house. My friend starts looking for the door and finds a floor board that opens mid way of his basement stairs. He opens up more of the floor joist and finds a ladder on the side that leads roughly 10ft deep. All while he noticed the next day that those two people from the other day where a couple of blocks away watching his house. My friend made sure to always have friends and family over enough to show that he wasn’t alone. Digs about 2 feet down and finds a steel case. He took it out and opened it and it had some papers, a drawing, make-up, and womens underwear. It was the creepiest and strangest things to find he said, and I agree. There was another steel case that was under the first steel case but he couldn’t dig anymore, he was afraid it would ruin the construction of the stairs and didn’t want to get caved in. The two strangers knocked again and asked if he found anything and he gave them the steel case, and told them that’s all he found. That was the last time he saw them. But I have a feeling finding whatever is in the second box is not worth it. And also learned that if someone dies in a home and the home goes for sell the broker or realtor cannot say someone had previous past away in the home. My friend is now currently renting out that house he owns and moved.
