with the catacombs: It's illegal to enter most parts of the catacombs. This is both due to the number of people who got lost as well as the fact that under French law, properties extend downward indefinitely, so a trip through the catacombs would be trespassing on dozens to hundreds of people's properties. A tiny fraction of the catacombs has been cordoned off as a tourist attraction. As for the city "collapsing": there have indeed been sinkholes that formed as a result of the catacombs.

If it's real, you've got to give give massive respect to those guys who went down into the catacombs to look for that man. They went down into such a terrifying place to recover the body of a man they never met. Fun stories about the catacombs, from things I’ve heard around on the internet and from other videos I’ve seen. 1 - Some people go down into the catacombs for days and then just reappear in society like it’s chill and they do it for fun. 2 - There are videos of people going in groups with a guide down in the catacombs and then their guide literally just disappearing into thin air. From there they use their footage to get back out but otherwise they would’ve died.

Well I don't know about the second, but the first is definitely true, there are people who go explore the catacombs (illegal parts) in Paris, often at night, most of the time with a guide that knows their way around, some people also organise raves etc down there And tbh it's pretty cool but if someone wants to try, first of all, don't because it's illegal, second, in case you're as stupid as I was, wear rubber boots, and finally go with someone that know his way pls

I've only ever been in the catacombs once, on a guided tour with a large group of other tourists. At the time I remember being disappointed that so many corridors were cordoned off and we weren't allowed down them. Looking back, and knowing how big the Catacombs really are, I imagine that explorers and rule-breakers down there tend to meet a dark, lonely and very unhappy end.

I think the man in the catacombs started running because he just realized he was lost and started freaking out by walking faster and then completely running. Then probably gave up on the camera because he was more focused on getting out. I dunno, that's what it looked like to me.

In my opinion The person in the Frenchcatacombs was probably running low on their flash light and was frantically trying to find an opening to the out side, remember there is no light down there, so without a flash light it’s pitch dark. So my guess is that in the video the person lost track of time and found out that the flash light is starting to die. In their last hopes, the person in the video dropped the camera in desperation, to try to escape... runing for the last time... probably ending up dead from starvation in the underground dark toom far from anybody who could save him/her.

yeah I don't think he even said "good AT Japanese" he said "Japanese good" (which is actually ungrammatical... "jouzu" (to be skilled at) is a na-adjective so "good Japanese" would be more like じょうずなにほんご (jouzuna nihongo)) lmao. You would need some kind of verb to say "I'm good AT Japanese" I think so something like "日本語を上手に話す" (にほんごをじょうずにはなす - nihongo o jouzu ni hanasu - (I) speak Japanese well) or 話せる (はなせる - hanaseru) instead of はなす to say "(I) CAN speak Japanese well". I'm only intermediate level with Japanese right now (just starting N4 level) but I think that is how you would say it. also at the beginning of the Japanese video they say かんぱい (kanpai) which means "cheers!" (but Sean seemed to know that one lol)

Theres points in the catacombs if you were to go far enough that you will be walking on nothing but bones, most of the dead in the catacombs were already bones when they were put there due to the clearing of mass graves in Paris because they were all full and putting them in buildings above ground led to stench so the bodies were dug up and moved into the catacombs, some not as neatly as the others

So, as someone in funeral service, I'm almost positive the great grandmother casket one is fake. That is a more modern style steel casket. If she died in 1945, more wooden caskets were used because the metal was being used for the war. If she was embalmbed peoperly, she wouldn't have looked nearly that bad, and her hair placement on the pillow wasnt appropriate. Also, there would have been much more discoloration on the internal fabric.
