Busting up stuff for real is really stress reliving as well. Any time I have a friend that needs stuff destroyed, I volunteer. Case in point, my brother had to get rid of his couch a few weeks back because part of the frame had broken and he didn't want to take it to the landfill in one piece, so after getting it out of his house I literally tore it apart until it was just a pile of broken scrap wood, cloth, and metal, then set the pile on fire. Felt like I had relieved at least 6 months worth of stress.

The creators of this game understand that destruction is supposed to be a learning experience. When you don't know exactly what its going to look like, it adds a level of experimentation to destroying things. This game is so detailed with its physics that you don't know what its going to look like when you destroy a building. Thats why the game works so well.
