They’re so cute! When Evelien uploaded her Backrooms video with Seán, I wasn’t sure if we’d get one on his Channel. Evelien mentioned that she became intimidated by the size of his audience when the two of them were about to record another Observation Duty episode. I’m not sure why, since she’s made lots of appearances on Seán’s Channel and vice versa. Maybe she still feels bad about some of her viewers giving out to him the last time he joined one of her Nancy Drew Streams on Twitch. I hope what I just said doesn’t sound like I’m calling her out (goddamn anxiety is at it again!). I’m just glad they both still record together when the mood strikes them. Seán and Evelien are just too adorable!

54:24 I like that Jack comments on there being two “primary” versions of the backrooms: the Kane Pixels version, where there is just one infinite series of yellow rooms with strange entities in it, and the community wiki version that this game appears to be based on, with multiple levels, items like the almond water and a few select entities on each level. I don’t think there needs to be any competition over which “version” is better, because they’re both just creative interpretations of the same liminal concept.

Why does everything in the backrooms want to kill you? That's my question. Like, why not have some creatures that just kind of exist or maybe are even friendly? What if Meat Man just wants a friend but most people who see him run in terror but sometimes someone doesn't fill their diaper the second they see him and they find out that Meat Man just wants to help? Or maybe like, some dog-like creature that will be friendly or attack you depending on how you treat it? You know, stuff like that. Also I agree with so many people in the comments, Evelien should be in more videos, the dynamic that Sean shares with her is precious!

I can't help but think if someone would of picked this concept up back in the 90's and turned it into an X-Files sort of series then it could of been MASSIVE.
