The guy does all his kind and benevolent deeds with quiet humility, Most people know him to only be a great musician and songwriter. This beautiful man is shy, aware of the frailty of life, and knows we must try to save and improve what we can while we are here. JB is a true mensch!

Since 1972, Jackson Browne has gotten me through a very difficult life. He doesn't know how to write a mediocre song and has NEVER sold out. If humans practiced half of his humanity, earth would be Utopia. Thank you, Jackson Browne. I honor you

The countless hours I‘ve spent listening to Jackson Browne’s music have impacted my life and motivations in multiple ways that cannot be measured or analyzed. What I do know is that I am moved to act, to give back what I have available to me because I’ve sat on the sidelines too long in indecision and frailty. Mr. Browne my gratitude for you is immeasurable and your constant kindness and purpose are an inspiration for a broken world. Continue on to new pathways and find the venues for your untapped activism. I will do the same. Maybe you and me and the multitudes of people who give a damn will make a difference. I’m moved by your speech. Thank you.

My favorite musician for decades. The world would be much better if folks took his words to heart. I thought for a long time the world would move in the direction that he has written about, but current trends say otherwise. Makes me sad.

I read the book by Paul Hawkens -- will look up title. Jackson really gets it -- We are all One. When we subjugate some, whether it be a class/ group of people, ocean species, forests -- we harm ourselves. Operating with respect and sensitivity for others, for the environment, is acting for the good of all -- We are One. Glad to hear Jackson speak it.

This man spoke to me so deeply where my father left off.... my father tried to teach me everything that this man talks about and sings about..... I became a fan of Jackson browne's early on when I worked at a music store selling records.... as a used listening to his music his top 10 chart music.... and then when I bought his album and listen to the rest of his songs and his words...... she reminded me of the foundation my father tried to instill in his children..... my first journey to the City by myself with my Sony Walkman plugged into my ears to Jackson Browne riding the bus for days riding the trains that took me many ways..... my journey was with Jackson Browne..... I'm older now and I know the importance of sharing his music with my grandchildren..... I remember riding the bus thinking I am the great Pretender as I go to my job..... I am walking with a bunch of people down the Avenue and nobody had a clue.... except for my brother Jackson Browne cuz he was singing in my ears..... this man is very humble and he is the most amazing man I went to his concert soon as he came through..... amazing man blessed with an amazing voice with an amazing heart and an amazing mind..... everything aligned within him..... it's called a blessing from God..... because God saw his heart... . He's a prophet..... a teacher..... and simple humble man....... forever Jackson Browne..... may God continue to bless you forever....... Jackson Browne is an incredible soul

Many of the comments praise his music, others thank him for his politics. Where are the comments that say “He inspired me to take this action: . . . . It is all for naught if we don’t act: vote, advocate, organize etc. I’m just an ordinary guy (not rich or famous) but I have led three successful local environmental campaigns. No brag, just encouragement to act on your beliefs & passions. Apply whatever talents you have. The world is waiting to respond to you. Indeed, you can make a difference. As Margaret Mead so wisely said “It only takes a small group of dedicated people to change the world. Indeed, that’s the only way the world has ever changed.”

I've loved Jackson Browne's albums since I was in high school. I haven't liked all of the records he's put since 1980 and sometimes I've been annoyed by the political tract-ishness of his lyrics. But I've never doubted that his heart was in the right place. And I totally admire the political bent of his lyrics and life. God bless, Jackson!
