So refreshing to hear some nice chill playing. Too many people just slap or thrash and it's not helpful. Especially the case with Jacksons. You've shown that even the low end Jackson is more versatile than most people might think.

@@danadane2501 I don’t know if my opinion holds much weight to anyone above a hobbyist, I LOVE this bass - It sounds amazing and it’s easy to play as someone who struggled with a full size bass. I started on the Ibanez Mikro (28”) but it was too small, then I tried a full size that was like 45” or something but that was massive and this is just right. It also just sounds good - I’ve plugged it into really nice Peavey and TC amps and I’ve played it through my little Orange combo and it sounds good through all of them. I can’t tell you much more than that but I can say that I own three bass guitars and haven’t touched the other two in months. Plus I look really sick holding this one lmao

You guessed right, I own (two) Fender basses. However, I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up one of these soon. Recently, each time I stop at a local GC I feel compelled to pick up the white model and have a go, because the neck feels really well made. The low action and high-mass bridge make this bass a breeze to play. I've amassed more than 25 years as a gigging bassist and have a good idea of what constitutes a superior bass, and this Jackson qualifies as superior. The price (and "name") may give someone cause to pause, but from what I've experienced it's worth a chance.

Would totally recommend this bass to anyone. I bought this exact bass last December and have been in love ever since. I bought it mainly because of the price tag but also the sick humbuckers I had been wanting. I love a P bass body and this was familiar enough for me to be interested. The only downside to the price would be the neck as far as quality goes. But on the brightside the body is great and so is that tone!

This is a great presentation for this model. I just brought one of these home today, These pickups may in fact be made to ESP LTD specs because they look and sound Identical to those on my B-200 basses. This is probably the best bass I have seen under controlssmooth with a tonal range and subtlety that is out of this guitars price range altogether.

So is this bass strictly for rock or could it be used for other genres as well?
@FenderBassMan5 жыл бұрын
I bought a JS2 primarily for practice and rehearsals, and find it quite versatile (despite its "metal" looks). I LOVE the neck--it's the best thing, imo, about the bass. The entire instrument is well-constructed, with the poplar body weight being at least a pound less than my go-to basses. I'm more about tone and playability than looks, but the sharkfin inlays are kinda cool. This is one bass that gives you bang for your bucks--and it sure is an attention grabber! [Yup, you can tell by my s/n that I'm a big fan of Fender basses, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate other manufacturer's instruments.]

from a different shop I bought a 2022 Jackson JS Series Concert Bass JS3Q in Transparent Black Burst and it’s the worst bass i have ever had the displeasure of owning, The build quality is just not there it’s absolutely disgusting, the strap pins were screwed into place with the screws you should use for the jack plate and nothing more, they came loose almost instantly nearly causing my bass to smash off the floor headstock first less than a fortnight into owning it, the screws that were just wrong were just cheap and fucking awful, The tuning pegs are the cheapest and most nastiest bits of shit i’ve encountered on a cheap to mid range bass, they just do not stay still never mind in tune, They actually move causing the bass to go out of tune constantly and will not stay put at all, they don’t hold tuning at all i can’t stress this enough and due to this cause the most annoying vibration/buzzing noise through the headstock and neck, It makes the bass buzz constant while being played, when the string hit with the smallest level of attack or even just ring out they produce a buzzing, rendering it unplayable because the unpleasant sound is always there killing the tones and those with even just the gift of hearing will be sick as fuck from hearing it, it will never go away as the pegs are buzzing and vibrating against the holes in the headstock they were made to fit through, it will drive you absolutely fucking mental and you just can’t get past it, the battery cavity for the active pre-amp has no casing for the battery or any padding, sweet Fuck all, its just getting flung around in the oversized crevice they have grossly gouged out of the body which is also annoying as fuck because the bass now produces a knocking sound from the battery moving around to add to the disgusting buzzing caused by the vile tuning pegs and as a result of such cheapness and thoughtlessness, as soon as you even strum, pick, pluck, pop or slap with the smallest amount of umph, hell even looking at it the knocks and rattles, buzzing and vibrating noises start ans again i add anyone blessed with the gift of hearing will be drove to absolute madness trying to endure this instrument, everything is loose fucking everything, a certain amount is expected but not to this level and it feels just not assembled in any way shape or form i urge anyone with every fibre of my being just don’t buy a jackson ever!!!buy the Fucking Ibanez like i should of, In my opinion unless you are prepared to pretty much have to finish building a jackson bass because the guys at jackson couldn’t be fuken bothered and replace all of the cheap nasty and shittiest of hardware don’t waste your hard earned cash, the only good thing is the neck was ok and the hi mass bridge is good, the electronics are ok sounding pickups with a reasonable 3 band EQ, It is the only positive thing i can take away from this experience, you can’t get one enjoyable moment from an instrument that gives you this much of a ball ache, its just awful too own this bass it’s a stressful burden to own, I have massively fell out of love with this instrument and will never buy another jackson aslong as i am capable of breathing please don’t make the mistake i did and just buy the fucking Ibanez, i would not wish this on my worst enemy!!!
