I recently bought one from guitar center. It came out of the box perfectly clean and shiny, perfectly intonated and tuned. The neck is incredible and it plays like a dream. sounds awesome. trem a little loose but that seems easy to solve. for the price I gotta give it five outta five stars.

from experience, i've found floyds tend to perform better with lighter strings (like 9s) in standard tuning. This is because you can have fewer springs in the back and leave the tension on the bridge lighter overall.I've even tried 8s and they work really nicely.

Buy a Schaller arm for $25, and tremolo problem solved. Inexpensive upgrade. I have done this to four low-end Jackson and Ibanez guitars. Sadly, even an $1100 Jackson with Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo had the same arm slop and required the Schaller upgrade.
@overthemountain163 жыл бұрын
@@tjborekvideo I can confirm that the replacement bar trick worked numerous times for me. But in this particular guitar you are reviewing. I used a dab of blue loctite on the screw in the back cavity and it solved my problem. A year later. Still good.

The loose knocking sounds can sometimes be fixed by getting a different Floyd arm. And also it's a good idea to leave the back plate on because if one of the springs pop off it's going to leave a nasty welp on your belly.
@AtticusStount7 жыл бұрын
There is a spring thing that you're supposed to screw in with the trem bar. The threading is designed to incorporate this. Jacksons - for those who haven't played them - feel very stratty, and I love them for that. You get a really well setup strat for a grand less than a Murkin strat.

I'm a Newbie! Play mostly rock and hair metal. I purchased the black with maple neck a little over a year ago! This is in my top 3 of a dozen guitars I own! That includes PRS, Ibanez, ESP, Squire, Dean and Charvel. The pros for me are the fast neck and pickups...the pickups are my favorite stock pickups of any guitar I've ever purchsed. I fixed the play in the tremola bar with some teflon tape. You can't go wrong purchasing one of these at this price!

Great review! I just got one of these recently and I'm VERY satisfied with it. An interesting detail is that in the country where I live, we have to import instruments and the country taxes guitars to hell, so much so that this guitar can't be classified as a budget over here, so I had to think really well about what model I was gonna buy, but man, am I satisfied with my decision.

I will reverberate what Dothreban said but add that the pickups, though sound good tone wise, were quite muddy to my ear. I am an Ibanez Jem player. Jacskon has always made great players back in the day but quality was iffy. You had to spend some money for it to not feel like junk imho. But I wanted to spend some time with them since Ibanez really isn't making what I want these days. I sat down with a JS32 in Sweetwater last week. I was incredibly impressed. I went in there for an Ibanez Jem BFP and walked out with a few JS32's instead. ha! First thing I did was walk it down to the service shop to have them swap the pickups. This thing is really about 80-90% of a Jem. The playability is very close. The neck is spectacular. Very fast and comfortable for me as a Jem player. Jackson has room for improvement with the JS32. It's not a perfect guitar and time will have an opinion as well.... but wow! Jackson did what they do best here which is create a very good playing instrument that is affordable. Simply blown away with this. And the fixed bridge JS32TQ is only $269. I'll take 3!

I bought this exact model a few week ago. I looked at 3 in total before I bought mine, 2 had imperfections on the headstock banding and neck banding and 1 of them had a trem bar exactly like yours, it felt nasty screwing in and didn't hold its position. Luckily the last guitar I viewed was perfect, no imperfections and a nice tight trem with smooth threads. As a teen I had an ibanez RG and I was always scared to adjust the Floyd but now I've learned exactly how to set it up and set the neck relief to get a sweet action with no fret buzz and a perfectly level trem. This guitar now plays better than lots of higher end guitars I've played, it just takes a week or so of adjusting and settling then adjusting some more, now it's superb. I think the quality department at Jackson have been slacking and letting out sub par guitars but if you take your time like me you'll find a mint one. Definitely worth the money and my buddies cannot believe it was only £240.

Great review, have you seen or tried the Jackon JS32Q Dinky in Dark Sunburst, at Guitar Center?
@TruthHurts2u7 жыл бұрын
I just bought one and I absolutely love it. I bought it with the intention of returning it within 30 days, when I would have more cash to spend, plus the credit for a more expensive guitar. There's no way I'm returning this thing now. It feels great in the hands for a 24 fret guitar. I don't feel like I'm reaching to play the lower frets and the higher frets don't feel like they're all jammed together. It plays nice without any buzz or dead string bends and the action is surprisingly extremely low for a guitar in this price range without some kind of issue. The only fault I've found is the volume knob is kind of crooked so it "wobbles" when you turn it, the tone pot needed the nut tightened and the pups needed their height adjusted. Everything else is almost perfect. The clean tones are crystal clear and with distortion it just blows the roof off.
@AngelMartinez-qs3cf7 жыл бұрын

The body is supposed to be basswood but I can't say for sure. I don't trust the Chinese. It could be poplar. It is very bright sounding with the blackouts that I installed but I just dial back the tone knob and it warms it up fine. I think any balanced pickups would sound good. Dimarzio makes great pickups. Other features include dual high-output Jackson humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets and three-way blade switching, Jackson-branded Floyd Rose® double-locking tremolo bridge, black hardware and die-cast tuners. Available in Trans Amber and Trans Black. I bought this from GAK shop here in Brighton for £299, mine is Trans Black. I don't know why people would have doubts about the wood of the body for?!! IF Jackson say it is made from Basswood, then it is Basswood!!. Also i noticed you one does not have the Jackson Neck plate that hold the neck and body together. Mine was new straight from Gaks Warehouse to their shop which i picked up. was new in both boxes and mine has Made in Japan, Not China, on it. Also mine does have the Jackson Neck/Body plate. Also as you have changed the original humbuckers, did your original humbuckers say Jackson on them? like mine do. Even though mine have Made in Japan. I got one a GC. It had no paint--it is mahogany and looks good natural. Fingerboard is black (unless it's "dirt lol). The bar does not rock like that. The floor model in the store had a bar that flopped around by my salesman said it wasn't the right one. So he went and got me one from a box and the bar sits in there just fine. The action is high for me. That's the only gripe. I never had a Floyd before and don't know wtf to do to string it or raise or lower the action. I have better guitars but none with a whammy. I took the service package in case I break something. I'll probably have to pay through the nose to get it set up with strings and action the way I like. But so far so good for the dinky $299

The holes are predrilled?

It's a good guitar for its budget it's not a real floyd rose on it but it's a good way to learn how to tune when you do get a real floyd Rose

Whammy Bars are always stiff when you first get a new guitar.

It wasn't stiff though. It's wobbly and jiggly and flops around within the sleeve.

can you reach the 24th fret comfortably?
@Dothreban8 жыл бұрын
I don't have any issues with the 24th fret. So yes I find it comfortable.

Loose trem bars,.. slip a drinking straw over the end to make-up the gap, it works and is smooth,.. or get the German made!

I would replace the Floyd with a evertune.

I like having the bar for dive bombs and such. I wish evertune made a floating bridge.
