You could put a piece of ribbon under your brushes and just pull the ribbon to get them out. Perhaps even glue one end of the ribbon to the side of the tin so it always stays in place. 😊 Thanks for sharing your new palette! 🙏☺️

Than you for the review. These are great palettes and really affordable. I also opt for magnets. They hold 54 half pans, have a good deal of mixing space and are flat enough to easily put with an A5 sketchbook in your travel bag and barely you notice it's in there.

I just got this palette to keep my extra filled pans in it and I loved how it felt, so I also transferred my roman szmal paint into this palette, and it's so perfect because I get to expand my palette a little bit more with new paints 🥰

i really like that palette design especially for someone, like me, who has an issue choosing a small number of colors to fit in a standard metal tin. ;) Its soooooo easy to get lost in the beautiful Roman Szmal library of color; so many great options! Stoneground Paint Co. and Renesans use a palette similar to this with a metal insert, and I've found it really fun to build a palette with them. Thanks for the video! I'll check out this Jackson's palette! Your Roman Szmal palette looks amazingly fun!

same here! so many colours i want to have in my palette so i dont feel like i have to go out of my way to dig it out of somewhere 😂 wow, i didnt know this type of palette was widely available. i saw irit’s one years ago and never found it easily available so i just forgot about it. i wish more palette designs would be available~

Renesans has the same palette, I've got this with the usual "holders" for the pans (for 24) and the middle row is big enough to put waterbrush, pencil or some more pans too. I bought it because it was really cheap comparing to other metal palettes and because it's so thin I ended up really enjoying it!

when i out together my roman szmal palette i did a lot of research to fin something that could fit my needs best - and i finally went for White Nights 21 Full Pan Metall Tin - its like the normal Sized one you presented and has 3 rows of 7 full pans - they fit perfectly no magnets or such neede and its smaler then the usual 24 palettes - but still has that "classic-2 design which i like much more then the jacksons slim ones - the whole make looks somehow "cheap" to me- -in th eend had to give it away since i really dislike pans and have to wait for the tubes now . as everybody else does :)

*i have a tiny super compact watercolor pallet made from a business card carrier...i use it with a water brush and small 2x5 by 3x5 watercolor card stock...so i can literally paint anywhere i have a few minutes uninterrupted or walking about*

Thanks for the review. I am not familiar with Roman’s color so I’d love to see a review on those as well. 😊However, I have a question: with the granulating colors won’t the magnet polarize some of the granulation? I use Daniel Smith and their hermatite color is magnetic. 😢

most granulating colours like ultramarines and cobalts are not magnetic. only a minority are, and no, i haven't had issues.

Very nice! I do wish the part that holds the pans was also enameled - I wonder if it will rust. Do you think it is sealed at all? Otherwise, tho, I like how many pans it holds.

hmmm im not sure how metals could be treated so im unsure whether to say if it’s treated, coated, buffed, or something else. but it definitely doesn’t look like just raw metal that will rust anytime soon like the hinge parts of most metal palettes. not sure if that helps. hopefully someone that understands metals and has the palette can come across this and better explain it to you

If you're concerned about lightfastness, you can do your own lightfast test. If you're still concerned, then don't use Wichitrong PV19. If you're in Thailand, I can recommend a few substitutes, all made with PV19: Shinhan PWC permanent rose, Mijello quin permanent rose, White nights carmine, and white nights quin red. Mijello is available at CWart and the other two brands are available at Lamune. They have facebook has well as their own website. Hope that helps.

i bought mine on shopee thailand. it’s 3M magnetic tape, 2mm thickness. you should be able to find magnetic tape easily on your regular online shopping platform

Hi, I have a foundation palette( much cheaper than any artists palette)...it's essential the same like finetec tin, but with round slots at the bottom used a flat book board and stuck full pans in it ..White nights pans ( a little smaller than the regular full pans) one can fit 33 full pans.., 11 in a row..hope this helps someone

Oh no, it is exactly the same size, but the white nights full pans are slightly smaller than the regular full pans, so one can fit 11 pans in one row and comfortably fit 3 rows each of 11 pans....once the paints in the white nights or sonnet gets over we can fill with own favourite brand paints..

i wouldnt say it’s flimsy at all but also not heavy like FOME palette. it’s definitely sturdy enough for travelling with.
