Long time rivals Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils take on the Tigers of Jackson State. The Sonic Boom of the South starts things off right with its mesmerizing J5 Drum Majors, and lovely Prancing J-Settes marching in to Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, MS.

Even though I love the Sonic Boom of the south out of Tennessee I am a big fan but I still have to go with TSU GO BIG BLUE out of Tennessee I wish Coach Prime the best at Jackson state and Coach Eddie George at Tennessee state GO TIGERS for JSU and BIG BLUE of Tennessee state.

why do the drum majors do pieces of the same routine instead of doing it all the way through - for continuity. anyway, the variation this year is choppy and lacking a good build up.

The reason why they don't do the full routine it's because it takes spacing whether it's twirling the baton whether it's different formations in the routine you can't do that in a narrow space at the home stadium

The routine requires a lot of space due to the rotation of J5 throughout the routine and they can't execute in that narrow space.

They THEE DRUM MAJORS have been HIGH STEPPING FOR YEARS in the VET. They have also been performing the FULL ROUTINE…. as they go up the ramp before the turn the splits were done. They have changed a lot of things. Watch the early 90’s videos even the most recent ALUMNI VIDEO……..🎼🎷🎺🥁

The uniform is not so much of a problem for me than the marching. There are twelve girls on the line. You mean to tell me that all of them can not march in. I know two were out due to sickness and injuries, but what are the others doing? I know they should know Get Ready. Also, please let some old Jsette come and teach these young ladies how to march that includes the five legendary marches that were required during the audition process during Ms. Otis era as well. Jsettes have several uniforms, but the ones they have been wearing for the last twenty years are just not cutting it. Ms. Otis era had uniforms that represented beauty, grace and style and she did not have a budget. I do not know what the advisor is spending the money on that has been coming in for the last few years from the alumni Jsettes and other individuals and organizations.

The school original colors had red in it - deon just didn’t add it go back and look at the original football jersey with the first ever football team . I agree maybe add a little red too
