SU is not a level that any band would need to try and reach... Yes, SU is loud, that is about it... Yet their shows remain lack-luster and boring from season to season, in addition to their boring dance routines... Each band holds their own, SU is not the model, for band nor academics.

Facing Alcorn was no more than a match-up on the season's roster... Yes, Alcorn has definitely improved, as I stated... I take absolutely nothing from Alcorn. It is great that one of their own, have returned to restore their overall program... That's simple logic... I celebrate Alcorn's performance with everyone else... Their growth and bounce-back, after seasons of being blown-out continuously, I truly commend.

jsu did great towards the end but in the beginning asu was killing them. i love jsu but i have 2 say asu dis their thing. j settes did good as usual but some of them looked confused and there was some mistakes and it be the same ones. they need 2 clean that up. asu golden girls did real good. jsu needs 2 step it up because these other bands are bringing it and r starting to catch up with jsu. sooner or later someone is gonna take their throne and j settes 2.

Bruh straight up Mr Murray is a proven Swac Band director he has literally resurrected this band program. I said it once earlier in the season when I saw alcorn THEY ARE 15-20 TRUMPETS AWAY FROM GIVEN THE BOOM PROMBLEMS FOR #1 IN THE SIP as far as stand band is concerned. I kno Murray's stance on hazing and he got to understand kids these days not as loyal when hazing is evolved but whatever he doin is wrkn... of course they can be cleaner by all means but the intensity is there and I LOVE IT...... Dr. Murray does his job well as Head Director of Bands, which includes administrative business, being a professor of music, discipline, musical analyzation and correction, and motivation. Mr. Martin and Mr. Harvey take care of their jobs as well which consist of everything just stated and including arranging.

Jsu has the better arrangements. I still say alcorn is in a identify crisis. Alcorn has gotten more aggressive, they still lack quality to me. that SU like song a the beginning where they had some runs. it was clear no one really cared about hitting the correct note. And in their song at 18:02 its like they are happy to play quarter notes with bad phrasing in unison and think its the shit. Jsu isn't killing like in the past, but they are still the better band in MS.

Alcorn won the battle, but TBH, I wasn't impressed by either. Alcorn's skill level wasn't on par with their arrangements, and JSU actually have had decent musicians within the last 3 years, but their arrangements this year feel so linear.

Southern an Jsu time as the top bands are slowly coming to a end.. Bands like Alcorn, MILES, PV... its they time now. an nobody can't do nothing about it. The only Jsu an SU cant get they spots back if they get the term unbeatable out there head. Yea its sometimes ok to think that but never get to comfortable an that's what they did.
