As a Filipino it's kinda neat how I can relate to having these snacks as a kid. The haw flakes, the white rabbit, the sunflower/watermelon seeds, rice crispies... As in, I didn't even have to ask for these, they were all just available at home somehow and I just inhaled each and every one of them. No questions asked. The Chinese snacks in particular stand out to me. I guess it's just another example of Chinese influence on the Philippines?

Southeast Asia / Asia have those snack, especially white rabbit. It's childhood Asian snack. BTW I'm from Malaysia. You can compare the price of those snack. Also haw flakes is my favorite. Actually Asian foods are same, got influenced but people called those snack by their country

I used to work in a chinese supermarket and all these items were available so seeing these products on mainstream youtube channel kinda makes me happy. Loved all those products specially sachima. It's so good food, if you eat 3 or 4 of them while you're hungry it would fill your belly up.

While I grew up in the Caribbean, we had Chinese influences and the only authentic Chinese snack that I identified with was the Hawthorne tokens that we called Chinese sausage. Only recently I found them again and only realised what they were made from.

Oh my God! I loved the snack from 0:12 when I was a child! I'd eat it everytime I went to a chinese restaurant with my familiy. Unfortunately, the restaurant stopped giving away the snack and it's difficult for me to find them because I never got to know its name UNTIL NOW! I'm gonna make sure to buy them. If there's an East Asian supermarket near you, they will probably sell White Rabbit candy and Haw flakes. I would suggest haw flakes over candy - they are not as sweet and have a fruity taste.

Jackson, you have a Great taste in snacks. The Hawthorne is xtremely rich in vitamine C, one berry has around 900 mg. (you need 60mg. a day!!) The sunflower-seed has a Lot of beneficial oils (pure raw food :) just to name two. And look how you turned out ;) I´m going to get these snacks Now!

I used to work at a Chinese restaurant and my boss was like my mother, the sweetest lady ever and she always brought the workers these snacks…makes me miss her and I remember how much I really liked the snacks 😭☹️
