He’s been singing amazingly since much earlier in his career but he didn’t have many chances to showcase his vocals. He play his role as rapper since there are already four vocalists. Even songs when he got a chance to sing and not rap were actually really easy for anyone and didn’t show off his true vocals skills. I agree that his vocals steadily grew over the years, just like all the members of his group did . It’s ridiculous when other people say he made this HUGE improvement because that proves they don’t even really listen to his music.

GOT7 can change their positions for real on the next comeback as a group instead of just giving us Switch versions of their song. Jackson can be the main or lead vocalist, JAYB as the main rapper, Mark as lead rapper and so on.

Why not, now that they are not controlled by anyone. JB and Yugyeom sound good rapping, Young Jae can rap but his vocal tone sounds better for singing & Jinyoung’s rap is kind of funny, I really want to hear Jackson sing more in GOT7, when he does get singing parts it doesn’t really showcase his voice, it’s like the writers just throw in an easy part for a rapper. Even in Jinyoung songs he used to give Jackson easy parts until this last album for his song “Wave. ” That’s why when he released his own solos, people thought he had a huge jump in improvement when in reality he was always a great singer, just never had the chance to show it off
