That's not true, Forbes will be much better this upcoming season, by product of better coaching & a better scheme which will showcase his superpowers as Dan Quinn would say. So hold your horses. You can't say someone is better than someone else after 1 season, especially at the cornerback position. So we shall see. Comeback to this in year 4 then make your evaluation of Forbes & Gonzalez. 🏈#HTTC

Bro isn’t built for the NFL. It’s not even an insult, it’s just a fact. Most people physically aren’t built to succeed in the NFL. Ron Rivera was just enough of a moron to select this dude in the first round out of desperation.

Ron and Del Rio did an atrocious job. They used Forbes incorrectly. They did a lot of things wrong and lost the locker room. The team quit on them. Quinn will use him to his strengths. Quinn has turned guys like Richard Sherman and Da'Ron Bland into superstars. He can fix Forbes. Tackling is something you can improve at. An issue for Forbes is that he is a slim guy, so tackling the bigger players will always be difficult for him. But he can definitely improve his tackling technique. That is fixable.

I do think they used him correctly. he was a zone quarters type of cb in college, and that is the type of defense rivera runs. they drafted him over gonzalez and banks for that reason. but i think he needs to play more off-man and try to get his hands on wrs more because he has decent length even tho he is still slim.

@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl they were playing a lot of match-zone. and he was one on one giving the wr a lot of space. also his ball skills are not great. alot of plays where he is in decent position in coverage but gets out leveraged in the air by the wr because he cant track the ball well. I say its a long shot hell be an elite corner, but i see cb3 upside maybe mid range cb2

Forbes could be a great situational role player. 3rd and long/obvious passing down, zone coverage, he is your underneath nickel playing the middle of the field and just trying to make plays on the ball while there is a picket fence behind him to stop the first down. Thats probably more like fifth round pick value based on how situational it is but at this point it would be nice to get something out of him while he grows. I just can't see him playing anything other than a robber role but because of his size and lack of tackling ability, you don't want him responsible for the middle of the field on what could end up being a run play.

Every skins player will be better due to the subtraction of del Rio/Rivera. However DQ likes running a lot of man. Forbes can't be trusted to do that on the outside. Maybe inside on smaller players but they just drafted maybe the best nickel defender in college football. They also have a lot of guys that play the big/buffalo/overhang nickel, like chinn, forest, and a couple of the safeties they drafted. So it looks like Forbes is your third string nickel. I like the guy I just see him way down the depth chart due to his fit.

Forbes will be fine. Christian Gonzalez got hurt and wasn't available. Joey Porter Jr had the same numbers just about. Those other players went to better teams with a better scheme. Forbes can play but when you're last in sacks that matters too.

Gonna laugh when everyone realizes how bad the coaching hurt guys like Forbes last year. This coaching staff will maximize his talent and he will be a legit number 1 corner before it’s all said and done. This guy is blaming Forbes in these clips where it’s poor defensive schemes and trying to act like Forbes is choosing how to play them. You really need to understand football before analyzing a player
