He is a great blocker. But when you are 6’4 240 and run 4.5 and it’s so hard for people to tackle him you just gotta give it to him by any means. He started out slow in the first games at UGA his freshman year and then took off by game 3

This is not accurate. College and NFL fields are the exact same size. What IS different is the spacing between the hash marks with them being wider apart in college. This does lead to having a wider area for the offense to work with.

Yes he a shitload of sacks and 21 Ints but he also was playing behind the worst line in the league. Id take Howell over most of the ones you listed besides Minshew and OConnell. Besides we were talking about Geno/Howell vs those others and none of those others has a better pair that has shown it in the league yet.

I like your work and think you have a lot of talent....but....On the play you used to show that he has more to learn, where he's covered over the middle but moves to be open, but the play went elsewhere. You said he needs to do that more quickly. That's just wrong. The play has to develop quickly. If he's covered at the predetermined spot, the QB is going elsewhere. It's literally impossible for him to have adjusted any faster than he did. The advantage to working his way open is in case the QB is scrambling on a broken play. But for the only way he could have made the adjustment more quickly would be for him to not run his pattern to begin with, resulting in an incompletion if we're lucky, but more likely an INT gift to the linebacker just hovering in that spot reading the QBs eyes.
