Pianos can be rather expensive also, depending on what kind you get, as with all instruments. I certainly agree, Accordions are very awesome but expensive.

Benefit of the expense is that accordeons don't require that much maintenance. A good one can last you a lifetime.

Michel van Briemen - I got a decent 120 bass piano accordion for $80 on craigslist. Just make sure all the buttons work, that the bellows doesn’t leak air, and that it has no rusty reeds or musty odors (mold).
