I said Lord please bring him to me if he needs me. The next morning he was at my doorstep. I said yeah they just goes to show you Jesus loves the animals.

It is a thrill to see bald eagles in the wild! It always brings a tear to my eye. They have made a nice comeback in MN. We even see them around Lake Minnetonka and surrounding area!

When Ellie was looking kinda wistful, I got the feeling she knew the baby was coming and she was worried you might stop loving her . They can be sensitive to one's thoughts . I live in the Big City of Houston and we have MANY Bald Eagles here, in fact, less than a mile from my house are two of them that sit in the tree every morning and overlook the retention pond! We see the bald eagles almost daily here on our island in the Puget Sound. Back in October we say 11 on a shoreline delisting on something. It never gets old, it’s always a special gift. The golden eagles are much more solitary and bigger. I saw one swoop down and grab a rabbit once, it was amazing. So cool you got to enjoy them too. Wildlife day! 👍

I've lived in MN twice - the Iron Range and Minneapolis. I don't ever remember seeing bald eagles. That's so cool! And I adore Ellie sitting out in the snow, enjoying life. She is precious!

While we don't rarely have bald eagles in Canada, we have lots of deer, moose and bears in Alberta. The deer's came right up to our cabin all the time looking for my Mom's flowers to eat. Sometime a bear would come up and bump against the cabin. No one told me until we left. I was 15. Really scared me. Anyway, I digress. Congratulations on baby Olivia and Riley and daddy.

Just started watching your outdoor videos, and must say your segments are really interesting. I like how you intermittent your activities with hiking, fishing, boat camping, tiny cabins, and remote state cabins. That segment on a mountaintop site with an observation cabin and deck, with an adjacent cabin with a gas stove and oven was captivating. Hats off to state of Minnesota for providing those facilities. Ellie bowing her head during grace speaks volumes of her personality. You are a lucky man indeed.

What a sweetie-- welcome, Baby Olivia! Enjoy this special time together as a new family. How fun to see all your wildlife coming to visit. I live in South Minneapolis close to the Mississippi River and we actually see eagles frequently. There's a house a few blocks away with a big tree that has had an eagles' nest for many years, and sometimes you see one of them sitting on the nest or hanging out on a branch. I love that I can be in the city and still see wildlife here too!
