I made myself a way of remembering Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. TUKT - all their first letters and they're also 'tucked' together in a little arch starting from Turkmenistan to Tajikistan. I use it a lot and it works well!

Someone needs to teach Jack about Mimal (at 8:38 he’s missing it entirely😂) For those who don’t know, from Minnesota down to Louisiana, the states look like a man with a chef hat and the states first letters spell out Mimal! Mayotte 'I've never even heard of that one' ?? It says this video was uploaded 7 hours ago. Unless you actually did the quiz before early December, I'm amazed you've not heard of Mayotte. On 12 December 2024, Cyclone Chido peaked over Mayotte, destroying thousands of homes, of the poorest citizens. Many people died, but because the infrastructure is so poor, it may be impossible to know how many. It has featured in many news bulletins since then. I get that this is just a light-hearted quiz, but a nod to the natural and human disaster which has just happpened there would have been good.

It has to do with the angle of the map. Trinidad and Tobago are more east than the antilles. Because the map isn't rotated 90 degrees, but slightly off, they barely don't show

Pretty sure it is rotated exactly 90 degrees counterclockwise, it's just that Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire are slightly further North compared to Trinidad and Tobago. The picture cuts off small bit from Venezuela (right next to that lagoon that protrudes into the continent), and the ABC islands are just North of that (and thus outside of the picture).
