When I was teaching Canadian geography, I told my students that a good way to remember British Columbia is that it is kind of shaped like a B. To remember the territories (Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Yukon), I said that they’re all up north because they are territories. I also told them that Saskatchewan is hard to spell but easy to draw (because it’s a rectangle). And I also told them that Newfoundland is the one furthest east because when the Europeans came over to colonize it was the first places they came to. So that’s why it’s call NEW FOUND LAND. And New Brunswick is shaped like a circle a bit and that’s how they remembered that one oddly enough.
