To guarantee that the Venice Grand Canal Mall maintains true to its Venetian inspiration, Megaworld consulted the Rome-based architectural firm Paolo Marioni Architetto when developing the mall.

Hi Jack, you’re right. The American colonizers did their job for 50 yrs. The country used to have radio and newspapers in Spanish but when the Americans came, they brought thousands of American teachers to our shores.. TVs were brought in after WW 2, Coca Cola in early 1900s, etc. The TV broadcast in PH was the first in Southeast Asia and the 2nd in Asia after Japan. TVs were sold throughout the country but mainly in major cities. So, American shows were introduced.

If/when you return to Manila after your island hopping in the south, you can check out the other big malls in the metro like MOA (MALL OF ASIA) in Pasay City, GREENBELT and POWERPLANT MALL in Makati, SM AURA, UPTOWN MALL and MARKET MARKET in BGC, and SM MEGAMALL, SHANGRILA and THE PODIUM in Ortigas Center. Check out also EASTWOOD CITY (the San Francisco of PH), THE FILLING STATION (Makati), MANILA OCEAN PARK, OKADA HOTEL, and MANILA AMERICAN CEMETERY which has the largest number of graves (17K+) for U.S. personnel killed during World War II.

Donut King of australia was here in the PH in the 90s, the more famous one is the dino donuts and grub, it was franchised by Jollibee😜
