Funny how you said Ariana Grande was so good she disappeared into the character. There was an interview with the composer of the songs, and he went to her and asked if she'd like the song "Popular" to be tweaked and changed up to be more her pop style. She said "Absolutely NOT ! LOL, cleaning the popcorn machine ... reminded me when I worked the night shift at 7-11. I had a lot of time to fill so I disassembled the pop machine to clean it. OMG ... all the inside parts were gunked up with gelatinized mold, big big, wet clumps of it. Holy ... so I ruthlessly cleaned every part and put it back together. When the morning crowd came in they all complained the pop didn't taste right. Yeah, it didn't have that fine, aged mold taste ... 🤮

I agree that having a home theatre wouldn’t be the same as an actual theatre. My fiancé and I rented out a movie theatre for his sisters 21st birthday and it was so much fun. You can pick what you want to watch from a list of old and new movies and it’s a cool experience to have a whole theatre to yourself and friends/family. For anyone curious it was around $250 for the movie, drinks, popcorn, pretzel bites and candy for around 8-10 people.

I came here to say this. It is always why she gets fully shunned. If you look up the original cast recording, the song the goat sings to Elphaba (sp?) is there. My guess is that people don't like it because they realize how much it can pertain to the real world. Just sub out animals for minorities they like to pretend aren't still marginalized and there you go.

@25:20 I've seen a lot of disgusting movie theaters myself, but just know that some of us keep the theaters we run clean, especially the seating areas. This is probably mostly true for modern indie arthouse theaters (but probably wasn't true for those types of theaters "back in the day").

The majority of the Wicked set was actually handbuilt! The only CGI / Green-Screened parts are VERY obvious. Like the spellbook, the window before Elphaba jumps, the animals obviously (there's a bit more but I can't remember them all at the moment). The train was even real! They did such an amazingly intricate job on the set. You guys should check out some of the behind the scenes videos because it's truly shocking how much of it was real. :)
