running towards the daylight
stuck in a race against time
taking their chances
in between the shooting stars
Floating high up above the city after we have gone to sleep
there's a riot where the angels live and die
where moments of truth are buried
words are not necessary
laughter and pain are married
and one of a kind
We're heading for a disaster
set on forever after
battery dying faster
than ever before
I am the operator
fighting an alligator
hunting a perpetrator
high above the law
Now if dreams are made of REM and electricity
how will we ever be able to survive
if a moment’s all we have, there will be nothing left to see

Floating high up above the city singing careless melodies
