Lyrics She's ocean wide, canyon deep From open eyes to twilight sleep She's in the sky, beneath my feet I said to her, "Don't wait for me I watched you grow, you set me free Go spread your wings, tell me what you see, you see" And what I'll find, you'll never know You'll be far ahead, I'll be long ago But I'll be here even when I go, you know Unspoken words I long to say We'll save them for another day I wish you light along the way, your way But if you only take my hand You'll always go where I go, and you'll come home I know I'll find you there Paint a picture of the world you see (What do you see? What do you see?) Together you and I will always be (Always be, always be) We'll hold each other as we go around (What do you see? What do you see?) Whichever universe it is we've found (What do you see?) The day is cold, the fire so warm Gonna take some more to erase the storm I think of you from dusk 'til dawn 'Til dawn

Was just at his show in Nashville a few weeks back. These two did this song at that show and just about the whole room was in tears, even though we were all jumping and singing along not five minutes before. Ocean wide, Canyon deep. Incredibly, I heard it first on the day we put our 17-year-old lovely dog to sleep. :((((( I don't know who it is about, but for me - it is about her and no one else. Thank you. The deep grief I am feeling and the tears that keep flowing are easier when I imagine she is "seeing" anything. Every word is so true in this song. About my dog and me. :((( Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤

I absolutely love the song, I account for about 10% of the views I think. ;) but the recording doesn't seem the greatest to me. There are weird phase issues on Jacob's vocals, other artifacts as well. From plosives to exagerated proximity effect. Don't get me wrong, intimate songs like this work well with less polished recordings, but IMO the song and performance is breathtaking to the point of asphyxiation, recording is "meh".
@TheFatBelgianGuy

around the 0:55 mark the phase issues are really apparent, it distracts from the performance.

I agree - it can't have been easy getting it sound this good in a room like that either. All looks like it's on an sm7 and sm58 (vocals at least) so not megabucks equipment. Only criticism is that Jacob's piano somewhat drowns out the female vocals at some points.

Ci sono rari momenti nella vita dove tutto è talmente perfetto che il cervello si ferma e rimane solo il cuore....questa canzone è uno di quei momenti. Jacob e Maro semplicemente meravigliosi. Grazie

Every song Jacob Collier makes somehow feels like a Christmas song to me... Like they all fill me with a warmth and joy that feels so otherworldly that today simply cannot be an ordinary day... I dunno... Just like, the wonder of HIM!

Already listened to it a thousand times, yet it's gonna be thousands more. A symphony of the most beautiful chords, sounds and emotions is taking me to a place where the world stands still just for a moment and all the chaos seems far. ❤️

Such a wonderful project, from music, to voices, to video capture. So enjoy the movement of the camera as the verses move along, first one, then the other, the both, closing with Jacob. Such talented young musicians - inspiring, motivating ... simply emotive and beautiful. Thanks for creating such a fine elegant video - wonderful collaboration!!
