Jacob Collier is the most unusual of talents and since we'd all like to learn from the best, it's a wonderful thing that he's willing to share. There's no cult. Unless you mean a cult of music. If there's one thing anyone who listens to Jacob knows, it's that he credits many many many great musicians who came before him for everything he knows. If you pay attention to what he plays and speaks of, then you'll discover a lot of music that isn't Jacob Collier. People who love music are grateful for his willingness to be so unselfish with his knowledge.

Diatonic triad and seventh chords moving sequentially up through a scale of the note the audience is singing as it's root, ending on what sounds like a quartal voicing. Sounds like he inverted the chords to get to the next chords with as little movement as possible. Pretty skillful playing but you can learn how to do it.
