Degrom's the only guy who ziplines 98 right into the spot and I think, "Oh man, he's lost a step."

I was at the Mariners Rangers game. I'm a Mariners fan, but was absolutely HYPED when I found out I'd get to see DeGoat pitch :D

Jacob Napalm Degrom would be a tough nickname. He's ridiculous though and so good for baseball for him to be back

Degrominator is the nastiest pitcher in the MLB; when he’s healthy. Dude paints with 100mph GAS. He deals. He’s first ballot no question if he didn’t have such bad luck with injuries. Senpai is right; he’s always right. ❤

DeGrom didn't average 100 on his heater in 2018-19 when he was healthy. If he sits at 97 and jumps up at key moments, I think that's the way forward for him staying healthy next season. We need another two or three full seasons of Jake and then it's straight to the Hall of Fame.

As a braves fan I saw a ton of degrom. What is most special to me about him is his accuracy. The dude hits spots like Greg Maddux except he throws gas and all his pitches are nasty. If he was with a good team his whole career and stayed healthy I’m certain he’d be in the conversation for goat.

Perfect Soft landing and great place to start back up and get confidence going against a strikeout prone, awful offense in the Mariners and in pitcher friendly field.

I saw Koufax, Gibson, and Denny McClain. Unless DeGrom gets 2 more seasons, he is McClain. He doesn’t get to the Koufax or Gibson ‘best ever’ discussion. Project their respective stats all you want. He needs to stay healthy for 50 more starts.
@hankglidden146312 күн бұрын
Brother Denny McClain wasn't even like... actually good. Even in this 31-win 1968 his ERA+ was worse than DeGrom's entire career. Yeah, they have a similar number of innings, but over those inning Mclain had a 3.39 ERA in the most pitcher friendly environment in MLB history, vs Degrom's 2.52 ERA pitching through the juiced ball era. It's a 101 ERA+ vs 156 ERA+, absolutely stupid comparison. It's also worth saying that Gibsons career ERA+ was 127, and Kofax's was 131. Inning for inning he mops the floor with literally everyone ever accept Martinez and Kershaw in run prevention.

@@hankglidden1463I don’t disagree but still also agree with the parent post - it means nothing if you can’t actually do the time. Pitching career stats are marathon not *sprint* - and it’s so fair and relevant because the reason DaGrom can’t stay healthy is because he throws his arm out.
@hankglidden146312 күн бұрын
@@summertyme5748 It doesn't mean nothing, it means less. If his career ends after throwing say 1800 of the best innings in MLB history. He'd have a strong HOF case even if he only had like 110 wins.
