Amen! Yes Sir! Persistent Faith In A Faithful God. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (The Message) Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, One of our toughest faith challenges is to remain faithful during those difficult times when we are in the bottom of the cistern and nothing seems to be making sense. During those times we need to remember Joseph (and Zechariah and Elizabeth as well) and their persistent faith in a faithful God. Joseph’s journey reminds us that the Christian life is not about our convenience, comfort or ease. Rather, our life is being used by God to reveal His glory and advance His Kingdom no matter how many bumps there may be in the road we travel along. Divine Providence shaped every aspect of Joseph’s life. Even when people intended to harm him, God redeemed that for good. As Joseph observed to his brothers at their reunion in Egypt…you intended it for harm, but God intended it for good. Forgive us, Lord, for those times when we somehow feel we are an exception to Your masterful providential way of doing things. We resonate with that man in Mark who cried out to Jesus, I do believe. Help me overcome my unbelief! The mind of a man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord. Proverbs 16:33 God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! Amen! Amen!
