Highly recommend. I have only seen 1mm, 1.2mm and 3mm in person but the 1.2mm made me want one. And the 3mm is great but at any width it would work well.

Another nice pick up. Tear drop clasp my fav too. Can’t tell you how many times I almost got the 3MM d/c franco. Knew I wouldn’t of been disappointed. All in all I’m thinking Franco is my fav at least today in 2022 😆

You seem very similar to myself when it comes to forever changing chains and styles et cetera, sorry to say this but I think it won’t be long before you are spending more on upgrading to the 4mm, that’s the sweet spot! 👌🏻don’t worry about the resistance when you bend it that will never be an issue, the only thing I got nervous about was the thin little link where it has the logo and hallmark.

Had mine for a year and a half still holds up even after an accident of falling in between my bed frame from it being off my neck after once in a blue moon. I wore my 3mm DC franco to sleep and it never changed or was uncomfortable. It's a strong as hell chain will with stand about 5-7 pounds of resistance from a strong pull like mine did. Now I have a heavy link 4mm same as yours I'm wearing that more and I just cycle off my chains.

It should hold a lot more than 5-7 lbs. Jacoje has a video of a much thinner franco with a kettlebell on it.

That Franco was one of my favorite chains. I’m hooked on this heavy link gold tone now so I’m thinking I’m leaning toward 18k franco now. Thinking of 4 mm bracelet

Heavy link is nice but I prefer the older style without the 18kt plate on top. Not a fan of higher purity look but that’s just me

I have a 3mm and 4mm Franco on 14k white and yellow, they are my favorite chains. So durable and beautiful. The shine and complexity while still being subtle is not comparable to anything else in my opinion

@@pauls8620 Honestly I wear each one just as much as the other. My 3mm is 20” and I wear that while working as a paramedic student and also for certain shirts with a high collar. I wear my 22” 4mm whenever, no rhyme or reason. If it’s your only chain I’d probably go 4mm. But the 3mm is just as good to wear

Awesome review! I am leaning towards 20” 3mm dc Franco 18k white gold. I have a 20” 2mm dc Franco 18k white gold that I wear solely with a pendant. It is about 15g. The 3mm Franco is about 30g so that is a nice jump in weight for only going up 1mm. This chain is a nice size and weight for an everyday, stand-alone chain. I never take my chains off. I am 6’0” and about 160lbs (tall and slender with a pencil neck, LOL). The Franco is the best all-around chain in my opinion. For reference, I had a 6mm Miami Cuban and 4mm plain Franco. I only do white gold jewelry and prefer 18k for the extra density and heft. Jacoje has an informative video on KZbin - 14 vs. 18k white gold. Braden’s quote nails the description of 18k white gold: “More gold around the neck for that spec” What are your thoughts on the 3mm dc Franco as a stand-alone chain?

Nice. First time seeing a yellow gold Franco in person. My wife has a 1mm white and had a 1.2mm rose. This might be the nicest and highest quality chain I’ve seen

@@davidbryce1985 Rose gold is understated! With my skin tone it tends to match my undertones so it blends in lol. I agree with that, I used a 10x loupe to check imperfections. None that I see. Solid chain, not sure if I’d go bigger than 5mm because it’ll be the same mm on all sides which may ride high on neck, maybe a bracelet would be a good pair.

Appreciate the video man. If it’s not weird to ask.. what like height/weight/neck size are you? I’m 6’3 210-215, 17-17.5 neck and have been stuck on what length chain. That 24 looks like it sits where I would want but also looks like it sits where 22’s sit on most people in other videos I’ve watched if that makes sense

Nice chain. Would you say the DC is as comfortable to wear as a plain non DC chain? Also would you consider a 22” or do you feel 24” works better for you? I’ve heard when it comes to a Franco it’s better to go up in length due to how it stands up off the neck. So if you usually like 22” go 24”. What do you think?

As far as length, I prefer 24 inches (looks like 22 on me). Each time I got a 22 inch I didn’t like it because it felt super short. But I think that isn’t a huge deal with the Franco because most of the length is around the neck anyway. I liked the diamond cut but when I had the plain I do think plain felt smoother and looked better. Not a HUGE difference but it’s definitely something I noticed.

@@neobooger I don’t think the jacoje curb has rough edges. It’s pretty smooth. I will say if that is something you’re thinking about, I’d go Franco out of the two. The curb will roll and the twist can be noticeable because of the weight (easy to fix) and the Franco will just roll so it is better for every day wear, in my opinion.

@@davidbryce1985 Good point on that! Definitely something to consider. I also read on another one of your posts that the 5.5 Jacoje curb kinks from time to time, although nothing serious. Final questions, would you say the Franco is a lot more durable than the Jacoje curb or are they on par with each other where durability is concerned. And as you pointed out, the Franco does have that flexibility issue when pinched together. Has that been an issue for you? I have a Franco in silver and mine does the same thing and was wondering if that could actually compromise the chain since I sleep in all my chains and pretty much keep them on 24 seven when wearing them . The Jacoje curb is super flexible so that would be a plus there. Appreciate your time. Thanks.

I have a 3mm 24" 34.4 grams and I fell in love with it. It's not Jacoje and it's a different type of diamond cut. It's almost like saints gold prism cut Franco but not as deep of cuts and it's solid yellow gold instead of two tone. I like the weight and look of the franco. Nice chain brother.

I heard that Francos are heavy and dense. Did the 3mm feel heavy when you first put it on and does it get more comfortable with time or do you always feel the weight?

It’s not outrageous heavy, depending on the size. 30 ish grams is what I like for an every day chain. The Franco and heavy link DO feel dense though. You can feel the weight but not in a bad way
