Merci! I use mostly unsplit gut strings from Aquila. Tension is about 4.5 Kg.

It is a tribute to Forqueray or a musical portrait of him (most likely of Jean- Baptiste). This was quite common in France at the time; There is an allemande by Couperin entitled 'la Forqueray', and also 'la Couperin' by Forqueray!
