everyone will say "tilkes fault". but at the end of the day, he wanted to make the old track more safe... but the track owners wanted to shorten the track, because there were less spectators thanks to the forest straights (more spectators, more money). they also wanted to keep the old track but they had to re-naturise it, thanks to some tree lovers. its a shame!
