She's definitely had cosmetic procedures done...her forehead doesn't move much when she's expressive, suggesting botox or some other name brand toxin. Also, i grew up seeing her perform with her metal band and such, and I can tell you that she most definitely uses filler now as well. While the skin itself looks good, I'd also wager the lighting, and camera filters also have a smoothing effect. I just don't trust any influencer or celebrity anymore when it comes to skincare because they aren't being fully honest and it makes people think that if they just do these routines like these people, that they will look like that too....its deceptive.

You may find this interesting as a skintellectual. I have a skin disorder called Lymphomatoid Papulosis. Essentially my tcells over produce c30+ protein and it’s classified as a CTCL although it’s not lymphoma. It looks like lymphoma but it self heals (around a month or so to heal depending on healing factors). This means I get bumps that turn to lesions that are very deep in my skin. Leaving scars. I get these everywhere. Including my face. So I have to consider the reaction a product has on the bumps, the lesions, and scarring as well as having combo / eczema prone skin. With some acne. Your channel has been SO HELPFUL deciphering which products to try out! 💜💜💜 thank youuuuu!

I also have to balance getting sun and protecting from the sun and kinda pick my poison. As the sun really helps with my condition. But Obviously too much is harmful. I can tell my derm struggles too like .. don’t not wear sunscreen but like you need at least 10-15 minutes at non peak hours without sunscreen. But that’s not always doable. I recently turned down UV therapy as I would rather have scars than UV damage. Fun right 😅

I have seen the cringe over "pores don't open or close," - and several influencers follow suit. I agree that they (pores) don't open or close in a more traditional sense, as your mouth or eyelids do. That said, pores (openings on the skin containing hair follicles and sebaceous glands underneath) can become dilated (thereby appearing larger) when the pore opening is clogged, and the sebum has no exit. And heat (hot steaming, not too hot that it burns your skin, causing rosacea) can cause this excess buildup to loosen (oil viscosity vs. temperature) and get to the surface. This is the main reason why we feel stripped of all the moisture after a steaming hot bath or a sauna session. Hence, in a metaphorical sense, the pore did "open up" (when the sebum pushed through the clog) upon steam cleansing, right? I am no expert on the matter; please correct me if I am wrong :)

I do my skincare routine outside on my balcony. Sounds weird maybe, but I’m disabled and a wheelchair user, and that’s generally where I set myself up for the day and the evening (there’s a nap in between those). So my skincare is where I am. Going in to the bathroom is difficult because I can’t do it sitting down, and I can’t stand up for long enough. So I do my skincare outside on my balcony, I use water wipes (not makeup wipes, water wipes) to remove cleansers and such. So no, I do not do my skincare in my birthday suit. I’m pretty sure that would be very illegal. But I do try to get my neck and chest. I also tend to wear higher necklines when I do go out, so I’m not too worried about getting super far down on my chest- no one sees that, including the sun. So it’s already at a better starting place. What I do though, is I do use a shower gel with AHAs, and then I use Emu Oil from VitAustralia. It’s actually a moisturiser with emu oil in it (and no, it is not vegan, emu oil is exactly what it sounds like- it comes from just under the skin of an emu. This brand does not raise emus for oil, they just get it as a byproduct of the emu meat industry, so no extra emus are dying for it, but it’s still nowhere near vegan friendly). I do love it though- the moisturiser contains heaps of humectants, emollients and occlusives, as well as urea. The emu oil is anti inflammatory. It’s actually what Indigenous Australians have used for literally tens of thousands of years for skin conditions and sun damage. Since using both a chemical exfoliant and my good moisturiser, my keratosis pilaris has gone away, and my skin is smooth and soft all over. So I don’t mind that I can’t get down too far on my chest with my facial skincare.

What products did Cassandra mention in this video? I was interested in looking up one but the video is so long I can’t find the right part anymore 😫

OMG! I have an idea! Could you do Florence by Mills truth/backstory video like you did with Glossier and other brands?! I would love to know more about them as a company! Even if you don’t it’s okay, I love your content so much, keep on doing what your doing! ☺️
