Let’s Speak About It Podcast ( Glenny & Hamdi )

2 жыл бұрын

I want to have conversations on this page about different perspectives.
The Lox member opened up on his bond with the late rapper and shared a few stories. Jadakiss revealed that Biggie's death was The Lox's first time in Los Angeles and recalled the Ready To Die rapper encouraging The Lox to settle their differences with Diddy when they arrived back in New York.
He also talked about living through the East Coast-West Coast feud and was grateful social media didn't exist back then. He also placed blame on the media and record executives for fueling the beef. Jadakiss also talked about Biggie and 2Pac's friendship before giving his reaction to witnessing their fallout.
"Big loved Pac. We used to ask him...he used to love Pac," Jadakiss said. "Pac used to give him jewels and he would tell us stories for days about Pac, so I knew for a fact that he loved him...genuinely loved him. So when all that stuff happened, it was a little bit crazy to us."
Jadakiss added that The Lox started buzzing later on so they were shielded from being involved or mentioned in diss records. However, he described witnessing Biggie's initial reaction after hearing "Hit 'Em Up" and said Biggie was more upset about the things that were said about the Junior M.A.F.I.A. members.
"I think I might have been with Big at a Total video, ['Kissing You (Remix),'] the first time he heard 'Hit 'Em Up' though," he continued. "When he got somebody [to] pass it to him and put it in, I think I was there when he first laid ears on that and he wasn't even really mad. He was more mad at the stuff they was saying about Cease and Kim opposed to the song itself. It didn't ruffle his feathers, he was more upset about what they was saying about his little man and the Queen B. That's how much he was for the team."

@@charmaine1775 A long time ago I saw a video of his ex sitting on Vlad couch talking about his throat condition. Basically he could have done something about it but because his raspy voice is his trademark and he was afraid having a surgery would change his sound he ignored it and continued to smoke constantly. It was a sacrifice he made to blow up in the rap game.

I was there. 16 years old. N*ggas in NY was bumping that joint hard too, on their boom boxes , in their cars, out their apartment windows. It was just music to us! We loved Pac in NY! We was waiting to see what Big was gonna do, but the most he ever did was mention Pac on the Brooklyn’s Finest joint with Jay and that was it. Big didn’t hate Pac at all. It was all just music for us the fans!

We dont know BIG so what Jada said holds more weight than our opinions because he was there and probably asked BIG and he spoke about it and said what he said. It's different if he said BIG didnt care AT ALL he cared about some lyrics. Some lyrics hits harder than we think. He knows Cease more than he knows Faith. So that sounds legit.

Not just the title but the lyrics were about someone getting robbed. Pac was shot and robbed. Big didn't visit him in prison. Big was upstairs in the studio as Pac got shot in the elevator of the same building and to top it off it was NY shooters and Big with all his money and street connections offered no information to Pac about who shot him. @@chicagosfirespittingserpen5599 well no one really cares about what you think. First things first these niggas were mad young. They were still kids. You can't really expect a 22 year old kid to make wise decisions all the time. They all made mistakes bruh including pac. Why? Cause them niggas were mad young. Pac was wilding out making enemies everywhere he went knowing damn straight he really wasn't about that life. The nigga valued a chain more than his life smh. That night in vegas that wasn't his fight. Jumping a gang member because of a chain that wasn't even his. He wasn't even supposed to be caught up in all that petty bullshit. That's just to show you that these were just kids that were lost in the power and fame that came with them being entertainers. Secondly, biggie legit didn't wanna be a part of that whole mess since he genuinely did not set up pac to be shot. We all know Jimmy Henchman was the hitman. About the subliminal disses, that's just rap music bruh. If biggie wanted to take it there he would have and we all know that he was waaaaaay more skilled when it came to the art of rapping. No one would want that smoke with big. Biggie had so many diss tracks and they were all straight heat that no one really wished that they were the target. Everyone knew kick in the door was aimed at pac until way later in the mid 2000s when Nas let the world know that it was aimed at him in "last real nigga alive". Biggie threw subliminals at Pac when he was still alive in brooklyn's finest though. So idk WTF you're talking about. Anyways I can go all day about this shit. That man's legacy is solidified with or without your "approval". We are just outsiders looking in. We don't know shit. So it's actually kinda stupid to hate on someone that we don't really know personally. Only the people that walked with these two men know them good enough to really love or hate them. RIP Biggie!!!!

The fact that you think Jadakiss is lying is comical in itself. The LOX were Biggie's proteges and they loved him. They've always expressed and professed that love and respect they had and still have for him. You don't hear this kind of talk from everybody from that era and you damn sure don't have to believe it for good reason. But Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch are the rare real ones in this industry and that's why they've remained tight for many years, even before making it to the industry.
