Jade previously talked about training at the Performance Centre on Talk is Jericho, I believe, and she chose AEW because of the freedom she was offered in her contract over WWE. It will be interesting to see what decision she makes.

Yeah it’s why I find this news odd. Like one of the best benefits of being in AEW over WWE is that you have a lot more freedom as to how much you appear. You’re not locked into the company, you can take outside bookings, and can easily take a break with how big their roster is (even though Moxley never seems to want to take one 😂)

Saying WWE treats its women's division as bad as AEW is demonstrably false, just look at something as basic as cutting promos in front of a crowd. Even midcard women like Zoey Starks and Chelsea Green regularly talk in the middle of the ring meanwhile AEW's top female stars like their own champion Saraya and Toni whose new gimmick everyone loves are reduced to backstage promos only. Seriously when is the last time a woman in AEW cut a promo that wasn't with Renee in the back? AEW women may get slightly longer matches but AEW values in ring time more than WWE does so that isn’t shocking. The men in AEW on average probably have longer matches than their WWE counterparts too. Wrestling matches isn't the only way to build talent and get them over, Daniel Garcia's goofy dance has made him far more over than any specific match has. WWE has a much better track record with women than AEW does so it's no wonder Jade would rather be there and why Mercedes Mone hasn't signed full-time with AEW yet either.

In the E you can be short changed, like the entire women's division in AEW, and still be presented as the star you are. Also, your usage and status have far less to do with whether you are attached to a free agent or someone valued in the men's locker room because the bosses at the other place are not concerned with schmoozing/ being buddies with the talent.

I can’t wait to see what Jade Cargill will do. But if she does go to WWE, that would be awesome for her. I know she stated in the past she likes her freedom in AEW, but WWE is still on the top of the pyramid if anybody wants to make it big in the industry. Also, there were some awesome talking points from last night’s AEW. MJF cutting a Steiner Math promo was epic 😅😂

I'm calling it now, Samoa Joe is going to win the championship as a thank you for putting over Punk and everything. The fact that all of the stuff with Punk, Jack Perry, and Tony Khan happened before their match and they still had Punk go over was kinda weird to me, wonder if this is them making up for that with Joe. MJF out injured for a bit, Adam Cole wins the title off of Joe, and then MJF has to deal with going from his perceived bidding war of 2024 to proving that he's worth a contract after suffering an injury right before his contract is up.

I believe you guys disregard the time they use the ladies backstage or talking out in the ring. That time far exceeds any of what the females get in AEW. WWE has several stories going on while AEW has...what one or two stories. Match time isn't everything. Would I want them to get more time? of course, but they are utilized soooo much more and presented as people who are not forgotten. Some of them are used in the males stories.

WWE is the better environment for a talent like Jade to reach her maximum potential in terms of drawing power and presentation. She reached her ceiling in AEW. AEW created an environment where in ring work is the first priority. I don't know if it's still lack of experience but it seemed for the majority of her reign as TBS champion she plateaued. It became too apparent that the other talent had to drop down to her level and it was compromising the rest of the division. It was fine when she was the TBS champion but at this point she would have to be one of the women's top talent and her matches stick out too much on the PPV cards and not in a good way. WWE is much more experienced and has created an environment where they can take a talent like Jade and work around her flaws in the ring and accentuate her positives. They're going to strap a rocket to Jade and make AEW look bad in the process.

One thing they missed happening last night is that after the women's match and her promo, Saraya was vanity-searching on Twitter, found a fan that criticized the match for being a tad sloppy (was a genuine AEW fan and the tweet was in no way mean towards the women in the match), called her ugly, and pretty much resulted in getting her rabid fans to dogpile the fan. Saraya really can't help but make rough situations even worse (i.e. kinda like her shaky debut and weeks after her Britt match where her shaky promos and backpedaling/explanations pretty much forced TK's hand to make her a heel).

I do recall her not joining WWE before because she prioritized her child and freedom outside of wrestling they wouldn't let her have. Then again I honestly haven't missed her. WWE and AEW both have horrid women's divisions. IMPACT's Knockout division runs circles around both of them, with a fraction of the roster; it's insane that they're not more recognized for that. I mean, compare the NJPW PPVs that AEW had and IMPACT had, like, a month apart (Forbidden Door vs Multiverse United). AEW didn't even _ask_ for any women for the card; one of the MOST PROMOTED matches for IMPACT was their 4-way with Deonna Purazzo and Giselle Shaw from IMPACT vs Stardom's Momo Kohga and GIULIA _IN HER FIRST MATCH IN AMERICA_ (and if people don't know who she is, she's probably the biggest deal in women's wrestling in Japan). I *know* you guys focus on the big dogs of WWE and AEW and those two alone choke out all the free time to check out anything else, but man, after Tony f**ked up the whole CM Punk situation, AEW is really lookin' kinda lame now and people should check out other places. It's *such* a good time for wrestling fans, and it's so easy to find other promotions even just here on KZbin (IMPACT and Stardom's KZbin channel for instance, NJPW and NJPW Strong obviously, NWA Powerrr, MLW, Game Changer Wrestling, etc); people really should just look around if they're unhappy with what the big dogs are doing. I'm always gonna echo that sentiment when other places deserve credit, and IMPACT is really good, very consistently, and is constantly *avoiding* the pitfalls AEW and WWE keep doing - they just made it to 1000 episodes too, so good for them. It's a good time to come back to watching the promotion.
