Very outstanding video. I have to ask the following questions 1.0 can we make an elevator with the capacity 10 to 15 tons capacity for the goods &other materials transporting 2.0 what is the maximum capacity of the elevators constructions for the goods. 3.0 what is the maximum capacity of the elevators for the people? Can we make with 50 persons at one time with the avarage weight of 100 kg in total 5000 kgs which is equivalent 5 tons at one time

I know of two Otis Gen 2 MRL's 2:1 roping, steel hoist ropes in a 12 story parking garage were updated last year. Originally two sets of hoist ropes were on both sides of the cab with the compensating sheaves above the hoist way, with a compensating sheave on the counterweight. With the update or modernization, the compensating sheaves were relocated to the top of the cab as in this video. Both ends of the hoist ropes are now anchored, to the hitch plate and machine beam. The counterweight retained the compensating sheave.

Interesting to watch. Sure wish I’d figured out how to install without the benefit of scaffolding, rigging. And oh for a hoistway that you could just put the entrance in...just like that...don’t even plumb them, no cutting of concrete, no chipping etc. like I said, fun to watch, but not the real world installation.

Totally true about the traveling cable being behind the combination brackets and also I like the short time frame to install this elevator no time was given for erecting scaffold also they roped the car and platform at ground level or if they hoisted the counterweight or the car up
