Theory (that has plot holes): after Fallon Carrington turned 16, her father, Blake Carrington was coping after he and Alexis Carrington got divorced. As if there wasn’t anymore drama in the family, Steven Carrington came out but wasnt fully excepted. Blake drove Steven away with so many expectations from him as a son. Fallon cared for Steven that after Steven left, Fallon felt so alone in the Manor leaving her with her alcoholic dad after the divorce and Steven’s departure. Everyday was the same for Fallon until she decided to have a break from it all. She told her father that she wanted to start a new life outside Atlanta, maybe L.A for a better life. Why L.A? She had a Passion for singing. After she told blake this, he got angry stating that shes just going to leave him like the rest of the family did. He cut off her expenses leaving her with nothing but her own savings. She started a new life in L.A and changed her name to Jade West. Thats why we never see her parents in Victorious, except that one time when her dad visited her school play. but maybe that was blake (just portrayed by another actor). She sometimes complained how shes doesnt like her family and how little we know about her background, proving shes not open about it because she’s still forgetting the drama that happened back at home. This could also explain why she was so mean and wicked to her peers throughout highschool as a way for her to cope. She’s so sensitive about the fact that she doesnt want other girls to steal her boyfriend (beck) let alone letting girls talk to him (explains why she hates Tori for having more connection with Beck) because she doesnt want to be left alone again. As for Blake, who was still coping, explains why he had a new partner, Cristal (Celia) because he was also lonely. I like to think that one of the reasons why Fallon (Jade) hates Celia is because she reminds her too much of Tori Vega, a girl whos trying to steal another man in her life that she cares for. maybe its not about fighting for attention for Fallon and its all just for her place and status for wealth and power, but deep down she still wants to impress her father on what shes become after so many years of not being close to Blake. to prove that she doesnt need him and his money, but still wants him to recognise her. (So many plot holes, I know but its fun to think about)
