Final Fantasy VII is a 1997 role-playing video game developed by Square for the PlayStation console. It is the seventh main installment in the Final Fantasy series.
Set in the dystopian cyberpunk metropolis of Midgar, players control the mercenary Cloud Strife. He joins AVALANCHE, an eco-terrorist group trying to stop the powerful megacorporation Shinra from using the planet's life essence as an energy source. Man... There are not enough words to describe how much i love this game lmaoo. And I have to say my favorite line of all time has to be during the scene at the edge of creation: Sephiroth saying "Let us defy Destiny... Together." The VA delivers that line just absolutely perfect and the way the music swells in the background just gives chills every time. Im happy to see yet another new fan fall in love with this game. If there was ever a game i could experience for the first time again - it would always be this game 100 percent.

What i love about final fantasy is how different most of the games are.

The reason why some of the story beats are confusing, is that this story is parallel with the old game's story. So it's like an alternate time line. A line that only Sephiroth and Aerith are aware of, because of their connection to the planet.

We don't actually know that, all we know is that the remake isn't actually a remake, the details are still to be disclosed.

@DakonBlackblade2 Oh we do know. This Game continues after Advent Children, not parallel or anything, it s a confirmed Sequel! Ultimania confirms it too, if you dont pick up any of the enormous hints in this game. Definetly consider listening to some of Maxdoods lore videos. Why is it a sequel though? Because without the entire OG timeline including AC, the Sephiroth we see wouldnt exist the way he does, he wouldnt know how things end and he wouldnt time travel in the first place.

There are so many questions, that could easily be overwhelming, but the questions and mysteries are so intriguing, we can’t wait play the second one. To keep you on track with the mysteries: -What’s Sephiroth, our favorite tall, silver-haired, one-winged villain up to? What’s the deal with this, Jenova? What’s with the cloaked guys with numbered markings? Cloud said he killed Sephiroth, so how’s he alive? -Cloud and his endless headaches. Are they showing past events or future events? Why is he having those visions? What was his life like as a Soldier? -Zack???!!! Who are you, sir? Why are you wielding a Buster Sword? -Tifa, wearing a cowgirl outfit, crying over a body? Who’s the dead person? She picked up Sephiroth’s sword and walked into a facility. What happened in there? -Barrett, why do you have a gun arm? What happened to your arm and what does Shinra have to do with it? Who and where is Marlene’s mom? What’s the deal with the Avalanche/Wutai relationship? What did Aerith do to Marlene when she hugged her in the bar before the collapse? -Aerith???!!! Promised Land? Are the Cetra actually gone? You often know a lot of what’s happening but sometimes know very little…why? -What is Hojo’s motives? What are Rufus’s plans? Why did Sephiroth take a part of that Jenova thing and why is Hojo laughing at that? Did he want that to happen? -Biggs, alive?! Does that mean Wedge and even Jessie? -What are the implications for defeating the Whispers? What did Sephiroth mean by telling Cloud, “Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you perhaps. But what will you do with it? Let’s see.” -Also, leaving Midgar? How big is this world? And bring on more abilities, more materia, more Summons, more items, more equipment, more limit breaks, more monsters, allies, villains and boss fights….MORE WEIRDNESS, MORE EPICNESS, MORE CHOCOBOS AND MOOGLES kupo! 😎

Well about the music, it’s called One Winged Angel, this is a remixed version of course, but this piece is widely considered one of if not the best video game music ever composed. It's famous composer Nobuo Uematsu's magnum opus and really is spectacular.

@@REDEEMERWOLF It can be if you prefer dancing mad over one winged angel, they are both masterpieces. Nobuo himself never said one way or another, what he did say is that he consider FF IX's entire ost to be his best work ever (although I disagree, I think FFVII is the best eh ever composed).

Been a a joy to watch you play through 😊. I hope you consider playing more Final Fantasy games. Maybe even the OG FF7. If so I highly recommend playing the steam version with the PS1 MIDI music file swap. FF7R is a remake in the sense that the in game universe has gone back in time somehow and something has changed how events play out. I consider it a sequel or some kind of time loop since that is being hinted at pretty strongly. The arbiters of fate were fighting to make sure things happen like they do in the original game. They saved Barret after he was stabbed because he wasn't supposed to die there. Any time you see them in the game it is when something isn't happening like it did in the original. The memories being shown to the team by the whispers are how their future turned out in the previous loop. That's why the end says the "unknown journey" continues. Defeating the whispers gives the devs a plot based scape goat to make story changes. They have said more than once that nothing is off limits. Which has garnered some push back from fans. I think they are hoping the whispers angle will ease the negative reactions some people have to the story changes. I imagine it is going to end up being an alternate universe or some kind of time travel.

So important stuff to know, especially for a new fan: don’t worry no spoilers. 1)this Zach guy. Whomever he is there is a connection with him and cloud and aerith. And def sepy. I wonder if he was mentioned earlier in the game ? ;) 2)it’s odd that the game has us see a dog picture on there snack bags…except that it looks different from the dog pictures we have seen before…. 3)was cloud and the gang actually fighting sephiroth? When cloud meets the dude he is easily beaten and the guy seems more talkative. And sephiroth did not exhibit powers to call on whispers during that battle. So was sephroth actually there-was he just merely playing with his food? Or was it the whispers trying to stop cloud and the gang by imitating a foe that cloud is afraid of? Also, the one winged angel seems to have e a history with tifa…

Without spoilers: They emphasize the unknown journey for good reason. Ffvii remake is the "5th entry into the compilation" after ff7 original. The entries are in order of release: 1) Before Crisis, 2) Advent Children, 3) Dirge of cerberus, 4) Crisis Core, 5) Remake. Altogether in chronical order... Before crisis and crisis core. OG. Advent children. Dirge. (Whispers!) Remake. ("This isnt the way its supposed to be..." {Aerith} | OG, Advent, Dirge is what will happen "If You Fail" {Red Xii} at remake's goal.)

You should play through the Intergrade DLC. The story runs parallel with the the story in Remake, and provides more context and even some extra post-game stuff! Also, the protagonist plays differently enough that it doesn't feel like a rehash of main game. I've enjoyed watching you play, and I hope to see more!

I don't recommend Crisis Core at all. Other than it being a horribly written story that retcons OG events and butchers already established characters, it spoils Cloud's backstory if you don't know exactly everything that happens in OG FF7. I'd save it if you plan on playing OG FF7 or maybe after Rebirth depending on what the devs have in store for us then. You're going to love the DLC. The person you play as is such a great character and the gameplay is even more fun than base game

Your wondering why areith knows all of the stuff she knows and that’s good that you noticed I recommend you to watch some lore on ff7 to understand the events and play ff7 crisis core reunion to understand the events before remake and the original and how they are different to what ff7 remake is currently. The creators are definitely doing something great and expanding on one of the most interesting and amazing rpg story game made in general and in the final fantasy franchise. I swear the second you see a video on the lore you would be amazed and hooked and especially very excited to see what they do in the next two games of ff7 coming up thank you for reading this if you did great video btw

Playing CC now will ruin the huge plot twists and climatic movements of FF7 the original game AND FF7 the Remake. If you haven't figured out what that plot twist is, and how it ruins the climax of OG FF7 and Remake, I'm not going to spoil it for you here.

Gosh I love the ending music so much and Aerith's words. Anyways, part 1 complete! After this or maybe before (?) there's the Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Reunion which tells the story about Zack, the guy you saw carrying Cloud. Can I say how much I love Zack? If he's on part 2 I'll be the happiest person on earth. I think the timeline of Crisis Core is different than the Remake but it's worth playing cause it's the OG timeline and has a lot of backstory on Zack, Cloud and Sephiroth as well. I'll be really happy if you consider playing Crisis Core Reunion. Also I'm excited for FFVII's Rebirth release next year! Thanks for playing this game that means a lot for us, Jade :) 💜

Finally reached the end of Remake! I’m sure many of your questions will be answered in Rebirth. The end is the part that references OG VII the most, like Aerith’s attitude and call out of Spehiroth is an implication that she knows exactly what’s happened in the OG. In fact, it’s implied throughout the game that Aerith already knows what is supposed to happen, and that she came from that original timeline again. However from this point forward, what will reflect OG and what will not is up in the air and I personally can’t wait for it! I am curious, now that you’ve played both recent FF’s which combat system did you prefer? To me 16’s is fun, but Remake’s seemed far deeper with it’s equipment system, the setup for each weapon’s abilities and buffs, etc which is why I personally prefer it over 16. I also enjoy how they switched the turn-based combat of the OG into a slow motion setup so you could still control your party as you attacked enemies in the now more action-based setup. Looking forward to your DLC gameplay and thoughts on Yuffie and her story! Awesome job Jade!

Cloud has also been shown to see what happened in the OG timeline during those flashes/when he gets a headache, but unlike Aerith he seems to be unaware of repeating the story or it’s differences. Of course that’s likely due to Aerith’s cetra ancestry and how OG ended/implications of Advent Children movie.

So I highly highly highly recommend you play FFVII's prequel story Crisis Core Reunion in order to understand Zack, Cloud, Aerith, and Sephrioth, but we get a bit of Tifa and Yuffie's past too. It's a game that focuses mainly on Zack but clarity of what is happening now in the game is dependent on understanding that game. Also I don't know if you've realized but the Stamp at the end is different than the Stamp in Chapter 5 implying we've screwed up the timeline of whats supposed to happen. This is what Aerith means by we'll be changing ourselves. However, this is only clear because what is supposed to happen in Crisis Core is altered here. But don't forget that game it was just remastered for PS5 a couple months ago.

WELL DONE JADE!!!😉👏🏿 First of all you just saw Aerith's former boyfriend in another timeline which will be made clear when you've played FF7 CRISIS CORE REUNION!!! Second they went into Singularity and defeated those meddling whispers which all came together forming that big arbiter of fate monster. Then I know that battle with Sephiroth wasn't easy either but you did it. Anyway Rufus is now the new president of Shinra, Hojo still has his own sick ambitions in progress, in the alternate timeline Zack has survived the Shinra army assault somehow, the people of Sector 7 are doing what they can so far and somehow Biggs is alive. Now Cloud and the others are planning to go after Sephiroth which will be in FF7 REBIRTH!!! Part 2 of remake that is! For now you next need to play the DLC called FF7 Remake Intermission starring YUFFIE!!!😁

U have to admit Jade Bahamut in FF16 has a way way better design and powerful attacks than this Bahamut in FF7. Come on even u like Bahamut in FF16 and it was the #1 Best Epic Boss Battle.

This game is a sequel and a remake at the same time. I recommend playing the original, after Rebrith that is. Strong chance the part where that game ends is either gonna be a very sad moment or a very controversial moment.
