1:01. It finally happened, Jaden snapped. But, with everything he's been stuck dealing with, I can't say i didn't see it coming at some point .

Honestly Bronn was one of the more memorable side characters. Wasn’t in it for long but man did he leave an impact. He killed four characters and turned Jaden evil.

And he also pretty much lead Jaden to becoming a stoic loner who has no fun dueling in Season 4 until the literal last episode when he duels against Yugi

Seriously this episode is one of darkest i ever see: Jaden watching his friends dying, casting him aside or lashing out on him (for example Chaze totally rage on him blaming everything on him before he vanish). The season 3 and the 4 of GX is dark as heck and have a level similar to tue season 0.

1. Jaden's friends should have learned to take care of themselves, not rely on him in their battles, and not start whining or complaining about their predicament and pointing fingers at the person they chose to follow out of their own volition, whether their emotions were played with or not by some dark, magical runes. Like no joke, they're not helpless, they have their decks with them, they have a voice, and they should have known the dangers of what the other world provides, especially during their time in the Desert Dimension. 2. While I can't blame Jaden for why he acts like this in this arc, it doesn't change the fact that he was totally reckless there was no question about that. Whether it was about bringing back Jesse, relieving himself of the guilt, and/or trying to shoulder responsibilities, his mind is in a very dark place to the point he made poor decisions after poor decisions that had major consequences coming for him and others (Which again some should stop relying on him and putting more and more pressure onto him.) Not to mention keeps on getting into duels with the consequence being death (or stuck somewhere in a dimension or someplace Yubel sent his friends.) 3. The minute Brron activates his trap to force Jaden's monsters to attack him, the latter has very little choice in the matter (especially since he has no other cards on the field to stop him.)

4kids did an awful job at dubbing this scene.

Mind explaining? I haven't really watched sub and I also don't like 4kids but I thought it was fine, the music rocked lol

@VN_The_Chaotic_VA_Editor There are many reasons why I believe the 4Kids version of this scene is awful: 1. The Music: While I agree the 4Kids soundtrack rocks, it doesn't suit the tone of Yu-Gi-Oh GX Season 3. For context: the first two seasons of GX (in the Japanese version) had a lighthearted and upbeat soundtrack, fitting because of how silly the 1st and 2nd seasons were. However, Season 3 had a tonal shift with darker, more emotional storylines. The Japanese version embraced this by introducing a new soundtrack that matched the season’s intensity. In this scene, the Japanese version uses music a bit sparingly. Meanwhile, 4Kids overuses music to maintain viewer attention. This constant background music often detracts from the emotional impact, as moments of silence or minimal sound can emphasize a scene’s importance. Also, the Supreme King soundtrack is amazing, and it's a crime 4kids didn't use it. 2. The Voice Acting The 4Kids voice cast generally does a good job most of the time, but in this scene, the portrayal of Jaden is awful. Jaden is supposed to be broken, angry, desperate, and conflicted. Unfortunately, his voice still carries a cheerful undertone that feels out of place. In the Japanese version, Judai’s voice actor truly embodies these emotions. His performance conveys genuine anger, sadness, and determination. Also, 4Kids gave the Supreme King a strange voice filter that feels goofy and unprofessional. Adding on, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links uses the same actor for Jaden/Supreme King but avoids the filter. Lastly, the voice acting for Brron is another weak point. 4Kids uses a monstrous voice, which comes across as cartoonish to me. Personally, I prefer human voices for monster characters, as a human voice sounds more serious and less like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. 3. The Dialogue The dialogue in the 4Kids version undermines the scene’s intensity. Jaden, despite being angry, still speaks in a calm and rational tone during the duel. For example: - “You’ll never learn, will you?” - “Hey Brron, ready for some more Neos?!” In the Japanese version, Judai’s lines are more direct and blunt. He openly expresses his desire to kill Brron and his monsters, which, while edgy, fits with his emotional state. Furthermore, at the scene's conclusion, 4Kids changes Axel’s line to “You’re on your own" is something I don't like. In the Japanese version, Axel instead says: - “Didn’t I tell you to stay put?” Then, when Judai asks if he did something wrong, Axel says, - “Think it over for yourself.” These lines feel more natural to me. I can keep going on and on, but I recommend watching the scene for yourself.
