Jaden Yuki the gondola boy / ゴンドラ少年遊城十代

As the KaibaCorp building in Domino City explodes around him, Jaden searches for a way out. He escapes in a gondola, but the rope snaps, though he manages to jump to a second gondola - whose rope also snaps. Jaden summons "Elemental Hero Neos" using Yubel's powers to manifest the spirit physically. Neos saves him, and Jaden makes it back to the motorcycle that Sartorius has used, and takes it, heading for the docks to find a way back to Duel Academy.

@bruhmanofyear2 I know the protagonist can't just fucking die out of nowhere in a random episode, it's called suspension of disbelief, and what kind of argument is this? So because it's not really happening every piece of fictional media has to be a meta comedy? I'm sure that won't get old... Plus there's plenty of movies and stuff that do stakes like this, it's not like Yu Gi Oh is too ridiculous to have genuine stakes once you separate the show from the dubbed version where they were just fucking around censoring the hell out of it for the network.

@@FutureRevolut10nary I did try a bunch of episodes and they're pretty consistently hammy, but it wasn't interesting me enough to keep watching, maybe I'll try again with subs cause I feel the ADHD pacing and incessant humor of the dub is kinda hard to watch for an entire episode, and I don't have much nostalgia for the show to keep me going with the dub if not through short clips.

Im guessing Judai still learning how to use the powers like Neos immediately Drops him after hes nearly on the ground unlike Aki from 5ds who has more control of her psychic powers manage to keep monsters she summon longer even at her uncontrolled state.

Cool = Johan/Jesse Judai before S4 is more Sweet. His actions is considered Nice amd Cute but he let's that Sweet personality get to his head alot. The most agregeous example of this was when Saiou/Sartorus won that duel with Satellite on the line, Judai compliments his dueling skills saying how amazing he is with disregard for Saious expressed desire to end all life on Earth using the Satellite. He even ignores Asuka and Chazz (Hes always Chazz to me CHAZZ IT UP) being brainwashed and becoming White Supremacists and does nothing out of his own volition, somebody had to get on their knees or let $hit hit the fan for him to do something about it and in the end he remains unchanged, ignorant to troubles that surrounds him. His duel with that Professor who replaced Professor Banner exposed Judais moral compass flaws with the line **"Who's more evil, somebody that sees trash and doesn’t pick it up or someone who doesn’t see the trash?”** Johan was a reflection of Judai in how far he had to go to become a COOL dude, he already had Bond with his cards and Fun dueling (B4 S4 that is) checked off the list but he didn't find his aspiration. Which leads us into Dimension Arc/Growth Arc with him pursuing Johan with him completely ignoring his other friends and more Elephants in the room. His experience from that arc made him into the Lone Wolf badass you see here now but he still was not "Cool" as hes lost part of himself he had from the beginning, HAVING FUN which he recuperated during the Final episode with his duel against Yugi. TLDR Judai/Jaden was never Cool, got that way by the end of it all. If we seen this improved version of Judai by the middle of GX, hed surely be at the Peak of Yugioh Protagonism but unfortunately he falls short by being Tool of a series with different storyboard writers that didn't line up.

See, when people asks why we think season 4 GX freaking rocks it's because of scenes like this. You don't have this type of stuff in the other seasons. A monster becoming physically real, protag almost dying on a exploding building, and motorcycles before 5Ds becomes a thing. Not to mention all the other crazy stuff that also happens in the final episodes of GX.

Entire Darkness arc was awesome. The horror atmosphere that it had, Judai, Johan, Fubuki and O'Brien being the last line of defense and fightning for the world. Previous arcs had world-ending duels as well, but unlike before Judai and the rest were literally last people on Earth.
