I stayed in the Salem Waterfront Hotel a few weeks ago and it was MAGICAL. The entire lobby was decorated, they even had a skeleton just hangin’ out on the couch. The weather was perfectly chilly, the town was filled with red and orange trees, and everyone was dressed in costumes 😍

Also I don’t have any spooky mugs which I am actually disappointed in myself but my favorite would have to be the one my fiancé proposed to me with. New Years this year he said he had a gift for me and I opened it and it was a mug that said Future Mrs. Little and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. ❤️ so yeah definitely holds a special place in my heart. And he’s def a keeper because he understands my loves for mugs. 😂

Hey ghoul hey. My favorite mug is my new one I got this year from Ross's Dress For Less. It is a sugar skull. I drink from it every day and hand wash it with care. I found it while searching for Day of the Dead decor. I fell in love with it right away.

I love Salem! We've gone six times in the past five years. And I find it's best to go in October, during the week, but not on Hallowe'en day. Less crowded, easier to get into the restaurants, but still all spooked out for the season. My mug that I use every morning came from a trip to Paris many years ago. I really wanted a giant mug with the Chat Noir on it. But I was so worried about it breaking in my suitcase on the way home. Luckily, it survived and it's my morning routine to drink from it (unless I have to head out right away and put my coffee in a travel mug). I also have a lovely collection of spooky, Hallowe'en and witchy mugs- whenever I see them at Hallowe'en time, I can't help but pick up more! LOL

My favorite mug is one from world market. It is kinda a textured light brown but it has drips of purple glaze all around the rim that goes about half way down the mug and the handle and the inside are the purple too. It’s my favorite cause it looks like an overflowing witches potion and I love it

My favorite spooky mug is literally one I found at Ross. I had been hunting for any kind of witchy decorations for days in my town and the last store I went to was a ross. It had two palm reading canvases and a matching mug with the whole palm reading diagram on it and I fell in love and swiped that sucker up faster then anything!

My favorite mug is a black matte ceramic Nightmare Before Christmas mug. it's black & white and the white parts are glossy ceramic. The handle is a sandworm and one one side is Sally sitting with her dead flower and the other side is Zero in front of spiral hill. It used to be my dad's mug and I used it all the time so when my parents divorced, my dad gave me his mug since I always used it. I've had this mug for over 10 years.

In my opinion the larger tea/coffe cups are the absolute best way to have soup. It's safer and easier to handle a "bowl" what had a handle. Plus for some reason it's extremely cozy 💕💕💕

It is black and has vintage style lettering that say Arsenic! 💕 It also doubles as a soup container(because of the size) for me as well, even though it probably wasn't meant to, lol!

I once had a cup with bats on it. But the bats broke off one day, now it is just black. But when you hold it at the light, it actually shines through, because it is just very dark red glass, that just seems black. And I love my Grumpy Cat mugs. Further more I like glass cups for tea, because I can simply watch the tea colour.

Hey girl I have two spooky mugs. The first is my harry potter cauldron with lid and spoon. It's all matte black and holds two cups worth of drink. I love it so much plus it keeps your hands nice and cozy. The other one I have is an oversize jet black mug with a holographic face of Jack Skellington with the town overlapped. My little brother got it for me on our first Christmas together in ten years.

I know this is three years ago, but I loved watching, and especially about Salem. Of course we drove to the wrong Salem and had to turn around. We loved the houses and The House of the Seven Gables was so cool. The lines for the witch museum and other stuff were extremely long, so we just walked around. I hesitated on an etched haunted house mug at TJMaxx this year, not lidded, and kick myself now. Love your channel

Omg, the train from Boston to Salem on Halloween is such a magical thing. Salem on Halloween is amazing! I left right after the fireworks. Leaving Salem on Halloween is a true nightmare... 👀 BUT! I think the city of Salem has tried to address that issue by having separate lines depending on people's destinations. Trains seem to run later as well. It's a bit more organized in recent years.

I have 2 styles of mugs. Spooky mugs and mermaid mugs. I have one that's seafoam green and says mermaid tears from typo which is one of my absolute faves, use it every day. I also have a couple of cauldron ones - one is beserk and one is rogue and wolf. I really want the killstar tea cup and saucer that's been showing up on Instagram a lot lately. But yeah, mugs are great. I'm looking forward to when I get to live by myself so all the kitchenware in my house can be spooky.

We have a massive collection of mugs in our house, not so many spooky ones though, the only one like that is a mason jar with a skull sketch on it, however, my favourite mug is one with a zebra on and this is special because I have a lot of chronic illnesses, so caffeine is something I live on some days, but the animal that represents my main one is a zebra, so I use this mug everytime I am infusing to remind myself of all the zebra's out there x

Oh man I've been binge watching your Halloween content the last few days, and I am so looking forward to fall this year! Yeah I'm trying Trello (which I love so thank you for the suggestion), and I have a board set up for all the houseware I want to get. In the meantime though, as well as during the spooky season, one of my favorite spooky mugs is an orange and beige Headless Horseman mug that I got from Bones Coffee a few years back! I want that caldron one. The killstar one. I only have one Spooky mug. It’s a jack Skellington holographic mug with oogie boogie and the trick-or-treaters on it. It has silver filigree all over it and a gray inside. And I LOVE it! I just looked it up online someone selling it for 17 bucks on eBay. I think I got mine for like $2.

October and Halloween is the WORST time to go to Salem for the 1st time lol I went in the summer and talk about spooky...you are the only tour and no other people...all stores were open and museums. October is a good time to go if you went already to tour and shop 😀

I live in Salem and it’s crazy here right now. We have the Salem ferry that will take you right to Boston, I used to work on it. Check it out next time you come so you don’t need to ride the train.

I was in Salem on Halloween in 2009 and the train at the end was no joke. The best way I've found to describe it was like the opening of I Am Legend where everyone is trying to mob off the island before it is closed. It was so scary. We had looked at the train schedule, like I'm assuming everyone else did, that said the last train was at like 12:15am or something. So we were freaked out, but after the drama of the mob, we found out that they always run extra trains for people on Halloween, so the panic was totally unnecessary. It was still so worth seeing Salem. We stayed two nights in Boston, so we went back on Nov 1 and it was this beautiful quaint little colonial town and just took out time poking through the shops. It was so cool to see both sides of the city. The fire department was selling this amazing "Witch City FD" tshirt with witches and fire on them that I bought. Of course it was stolen, and I haven't been able to find a replacement. 😞 My favorite mugs I have are by Johanna Parker and they are that "old folk art" style of characters. I love them so much. They are staying out all year!

I'm in Sweden, we are so behind with all the Halloween stuff (and whatever we have, it's just the gore and horror stuff, not the cute and spooky), it's impossible to find any cute spooky mugs. I have exactly one, a cute spoopy skull sort of mug, which I found at a thriftstore a few years ago. I love it to bits! My dream is to go to the US for Halloween shopping (and thriftshopping, and Christmas shopping...), but for now, I'm happy if I can manage to get to the nearest town... But some day! Homegoods is definitely on the list when that day comes - I need to find me some spooky mugs! ^_^

so many cool mugs! i love salem but it can definitely be a shit show on halloween. i've been on halloween a few times and it's always super crowded. the train thing sounds terrible though. i live in mass so i've never had to deal with that really, we always just drive home afterwards. it's fun but i recommend going off season at some point. i go a bunch in the summer. it's not crowded and you can actually get in to everything.

I have one “spooky” mug which isn’t actually spooky, it’s just a big mug from the thrift store with a cute kitten and pumpkin on it. But I love it, and it was less than $2! My other fave mug is one that my BF found on eBay. It’s antique from England and it’s one of those brown glazed ones, you know? Those are my absolute favorite kind. But the best part is that it has sassy cats all over it 😻 He actually pretended someone else had already bought it and surprised me with it. I’m afraid to use it because I love it so much, lol.

Now I am deciding to go with the train to Boston than or sleep somewhere else. Hey girl heyyy!!! Ahhh I'm so excited you're going to Salem!!! The long trip will totally be worth it - Salem is such a magical town!! Boston is amazing too!! So many great shops and the food is to die for!! Also, check out Cambridge and the Harvard campus/Harvard square area, especially if you're going in the fall! The campus is already beautiful, but when the trees are orange, red, and yellow it's truly magical!

This is the video I didn't know I was waiting for!!!! I love mugs and I love bizarre/strange/unusual/pretty mugs and I collect them. So your spooky mug collection has me all jealous. I would LOVE to own the black skull-rose gold handle one myself. Halloween decorations are the one reason I would leave Germany for and move to the US ^^ because I live in Germany so unfortunately there is no real halloween excitement here. So every year I stroll through stores in hope to find cute halloween decorations (to have up all year who am I kidding?) especially mugs just to get annually disappointed :(

Ahhh I love it that you collect mugs too!!! A spooky/pretty/weird mug is the perfect way to start the morning!! Also, one day you should totally plan a trip to the US in September (that's before all the Halloween decorations are picked over) bring some extra suitcases and just stuff them full with the most Halloween decor!! 😍🎃🖤✨

@@JadeTheLibra Yes I already considered that ^^ but that will be hard to explain to the security guys and the custom-house officers at the airports: "What is the reason for you entering this country?" "eeehhhm halloween decorations?" that will bring me some strange looks I guess; well worth it though I guess ;) Until then my precious Killstar skull mug has to do the containing the magic potion named coffee :D I hope you have an awesome halloween morning, day and night!!

I feel like you wouldn't like my house or my mugs lol. I live in a little country village in England in a very, very old farm cottage with beams and coal fires and everything and I'm obsessed with old looking things and actual old things and equally obsessed with horror/fantasy and have an aesthetic I'd describe as 16th-century witches cottage. It's very much about realistic looking skulls and bones and potions and wet samples and ethical taxidermy. I have real bat skeletons and insets behind glass, one of my faves is a huge death's head hawk moth. I have vintage tarot art and palmistry signs and an actual Coldren, old broken porcelain dolls and lots of wild nature vibes. It's like the kind of thing that would give most people nightmares lol. Anyway, I made my fave mug which is a realistic looking skull with the top cracked off so the lip is all jagged and it has fangs. I hate cutesy Halloween stuff but I'm very into the vintage decorations like the creepy kids you've mentioned before.
