I’m 28 years old grown women and cried watching this. I thought it would be something comforting watching this like atachinshi or something. But it was very triggering to me, brought me back to childhood and how my mom treated me. I thought I healed but I guess I’ll never do. The mom is just like my mom so mean to her daughter for no reason! This is shouldn’t be normalized especially in a content for kids. Oldest kids are still kids.

진짜 너무하다. 물감 닦으라고 하는 것도 자기가 뒷처리하기 복잡하니까 "그냥 누나가 되서!!" 타령하면서 자두한테 맡긴 거잖아... 또 놀이공원에서 물 떠오라고 하는 것, 자두 먹을 것을 하나도 남겨두지 않았던 건 좀 심했다고 본다. 장녀지만 아직 3학년밖에 안 된 아이인데.... 그리고 거스름돈 남기지 않고 놀러다닌 것도 자기가 정말 폭발해서 한 행동인데 자두엄마는 단순한 반항이라고 생각하는 것 같아서 슬프다. 그럴만한 마땅한 이유가 있을 텐데도.... 그리고 자두 엄마는 애기나 미미가 놀이공원에서 없어졌어도 그랬을까? 그냥 자두를 소중하게 여기지를 않는 것 같은데...

I think the parents are overreacting. I know that the first child is required to be more mature for his younger siblings and also help take care of them. but they should also understand that jadoo is also still a child. Very sad when 3rd graders don't enjoy holidays with their families. Even though to take water can be done by the father, and they did not spare their food. If this continues, their relationship will not be sincere. The older sister will feel neglected while the siblings will also always take advantage of the older sister and disrespect her. Parents must be able to educate their children to love and help each other, of course according to their age.

어느정도 현실을 반영했겠지만.. 이번편은 좀 너무 마음 아픈 에피소드입니다. 차별이 너무 심하고 별것아닌것에 폭력을.. 자두는 어린이들이 주로 보는 만화인데, 옛날 배경을 잘 모른채 이런걸 보면 부정적인 영향이 있을것 같습니다..ㅠ 모든 에피소드를 다 봤고 너무나도 애정하는 만화인데, 이번편같은 소재는 너무나도 아쉽습니다. 디른 화에선 그래도 인간적이고 감동적이었는데, 이번화에선 엄마 캐릭터를 너무 속물로 그려놨네요. 옛날을 바탕으로 한 만화지만, 시대가 많이 바퀸만큼, 조금만 더 정도를 조절해주시면 좋겠습니다^^ 자두 만화 너무 좋아합니다.

In my opinion, her mother is too much in this episode and sometimes on other episodes too. I notice that most of the times she treated her children unequal especially when it comes to Jadoo. Like in this episode, they didn't even give Jadoo any food. I know that sometimes Jadoo is harsh towards to others, but I think it is because she always see it to her mother's behavior. I once was a child and I didn't like when my sister has a lot of attention more than me, I envy my older sister when she always their top priority etc. and because of that I become equal to all my groupmates when it comes of groupings, I always divided the task equally because I dislike the unequal treatment or something to others. There are a positive and negative impact on a children when you treat them unequally. For those mother/father pleaseee, don't make your children feel like you have a favorite or anything. Treat them equally!

Yup I totally agree, I'm also the first child and my other siblings were way younger than me (my first sibling is 7 years younger than me) so I can totally feel the pressure and that make me decide and realized that in the future I want just one or two kids but the age gap will not gonna be far...

I think that the problem is not the number of children, but the people themselves. I was an only child to my parents, but I was still basically used as a service person. And when it was a meeting of parents with their friends and there were also children: usually I alone did some work for the adults. And likewise, if these children broke something (I was not the oldest), or something happened to them, I was to blame. By the way, I was guilty of almost everything, so this was nothing new. The truth came out of course but no apologies to me, usually just avoiding me for a while.

reminder that the oldest child is still a child :( ..... as a parent you should be treating all of your kids the same despite their age, jadoo is just a 10 year old girl, she shouldn't be responsible for her younger siblings actions, if they mess up they clean up themselves the oldest sibling is *not* their parent, their maid or their teacher, what's the point of being a parent if the oldest child is given the responsibility of acting like a parent to her younger ones. Parentified children are a real thing in psychology and most of them grow up with major trust issues, unhealthy coping mechanisms and the inability to form healthy normal relationships as adults.
