Scan is a great player but he's not a true test of Jaedong sorry to say. Jaedong would be expected to win even when not in top shape. He's a multi champion afterall. The game also went very well for him, Scan was not fully aware of the lurker play until late - having to cancel 5 or so turrets is never good even against A rank players. Scan also misread Jaedongs play as a lurker "all in". He made way too many bunkers for the situation. I don't blame him though, it was a very difficult situation to read with the lack of scouting after the first scv. No disrespect to Scan at all, bad luck in the game for him. Had he read it perfectly though he could've had his barracks and tech up much faster and that would allow him to pressure, reducing jaedongs drone count by a lot. That being said I would favor jaedong over scan in any game:P He's one of the best players of all time for a reason.

It's also cool that at 5:51 jaedong was waiting for scan to finish his turrets so that he wastes those resources, but once scan "scanned" the hydra den he cancels the turrets and jaedong unburrows and moves up to the depot. These pro's are something else man

I know this video is Jaedong being back but I just want to talk about one thing: Anyone else just itching to GET BACK? Like I feel BW is just so thrilling, so electric to watch and play. More than ever - I just feel like BW has broken some sort of threshold of longevity where you feel it ascends trends of other titles. Despite being from 98, it feels just as relevant as ever. It is so exciting to see games that feels temporary retains their thrill to experience. Chess is thousands year old yet still relevant. I no longer hope but feel here and now the same with BW. Like I am watching a live game of a legend and it feels incredible.

I like your comment. The new ASL that's coming with almost all the big names of old qualifying is going to be amazing. Also after Flash comes back from his service it will get even better. Feels like a true timeless game to me. Wish there was a bigger ladder with more new players though. We need the low end too.

I love Scan's style. He never undergoes. He takes good fights, good map awareness, good reactions. Maybe that's because I like the guy since the coaching videos, but he is a very good player, really. But Jaedong... is a monster in ZvT. If Flash didn't exist, Jae would certainly have been the best player in the world, imo.

Great match. When scan moved out it was his army vs jeadongs tech. When zerg has 4 bases (don't remember if he had a macro hatch) they can produce ultras and defilers very quickly once they get to point in the tech tree, as long as they have gas. ...

And then there is me and my little brother when SC:Broodwar was cool back in the day.. we just built mass ghosts and tried to nuke each other. Rushes were considered uncool. You built up an army and then agreed on a meeting spot to battle it out. After that we usually had to eat dinner.. so we rarely even finished games. Artosis, if metrics mean anything to you, then pay attention to where this particular cast has gone in just two days... 11k views. What this means to me, is that the potential is clearly out there, even though this channel has clearly lagged after having been met with early enthusiasm from the BW community. Yes, our friend Scan is great to watch (but not on a daily basis), and yes you care a lot about Gypsy, Hm, Stryker and the rest of the lesser known BW players. But just by looking at the numbers on this video relative to the rest of your channel, one can easily infer what your (potential) viewers want. Bring out the famed Flash, Bisu, Boxer, Nada, Fantasy games and let your channel enjoy the greatness that you deny it from achieving.

It's amazing to see Jaedong back. I watched this live on Scan's stream, so it's great to see what JD did to win. Worth mentioning that Scan played a second epic game vs JD and won that one. I'm pretty sure right now JD is #1 on the ladder and Scan is #3, so both are at the top of their game.
