I love JLC, but I’m not feeling this one, especially the cross hatching on the pushers. It doesn’t seem to have anti reflective coating, or not on both surfaces at least.

100m water resistance not enough for SCUBA. It’s water resistant for 100m of pressure, meaning a still column of water 100m tall. Not for moving around in 100m deep water. The water resistance is more appropriate for surface diving and possibly surface sports such as water skiing.

@@Doggo-frenctonI’m both a recreational and commercial diver, as well as a professional engineer, and had water entry into a 200m watch at about 80 feet of water. I’m also religious about having my watches serviced as well as having the resistances checked regularly. I’m just trying to help someone not have to learn the lesson the hard way like I did.

@@EmmJayEss I am sorry, but if you’re an engineer you perhaps learned or could research how to calculate the effects of both static and dynamic pressure. The bottom line is that even if I very generously accommodated you with the ability to move your arms far beyond human capable speeds under water, the amount of additional effective pressure on the watch due to dynamic pressure is negligible compared to the static pressure, especially the deeper you go. So unless you’re a Navy Seal using equipment to move through the water at incredible speeds, your watch was compromised somehow. But I do agree with your conclusion that it’s just not worth it. If you want to dive with a luxury watch, take one you don’t care about. I don’t see the point in wasting arm space with a luxury watch on a deep dive when your safety should be the first and main thing a professional is thinking about.

The original didn't come with this leather strap. It came with a tropic style carbon strap, that is surface water resistant... Make of that what you will. But I somewhat agree that modern JLC is a little bit overrated.
