By the way Jael, have you thought of a way of harvesting all the rain water that collects in your compound, probably direct it to a water pan or underground tank where you will never miss water for irrigation and home use. Also when you finish the house, you can install gutters to collect water and direct it to a big plastic tank.

Yes, I will bring in water tanks later. It's in the plan. We don't have piped water here, so harvesting rain water is inevitable
