you could go to the 3 lines option on right end of the layer tab and select release to layers (sequence) and it automatically puts each vector in a different layer, all you have to do then is manually drag all the layers out of the primary layer

Great video, the only thing I hated was your ripple effect in the mouse pointer. It's visually annoying when trying to look carefully where did you click.

Hi, I have recently started learning animation but the type of characters i like have really big arms and legs which is very common these days in explainer videos. But the thing is they dont have 3 part arms and legs.How do i go about that?

Could you tell please how you change size by holding alt+shift? when I do it I can't change the size and then the layers are very small in after effects
@JafarFazel Жыл бұрын
Why? Maybe the layer be locked!
@yofi2614 Жыл бұрын
Hey Jafar! So basically when preparing for rigging no need for preparing both limbs, only one leg, one arm and then duplicate them in After Effect right?

Exactly!

Why should we convert it to shapes?
@JafarFazel2 жыл бұрын
If you don't want to convert, it's better to create the joints in Illustrator, because otherwise, you have to create a separate layer for each joint, which causes the leg to become two layers and this makes it difficult for parenting.

Did I miss something or did you not show kinematics at the start, but not in the video?
@JafarFazel Жыл бұрын
Do you mean the Rigging process is missing?
@Spelarkivet Жыл бұрын
At the very beginning, you are showing a rigged character with kinematics. Couldn't see that in the video later on. Maybe i missed it?

What is your opinion about 2d versus 3d? If one was to apply your techniques to say a 3d program like Cinema 4d, would the outcome be more dynamic or it doesn't matter? Have you ever worked in or considered working with 3d? I am torn whether I should do motion grpahics in 3d or 2d? I own both software but not sure which medium to pursue or commit more time in, in which medium, and for what purpose.
@JafarFazel2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I also worked with C4D, this course is for my brother and me in C4D! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqq2eGWFq7Z3bJI The answer to your question depends on the circumstances of each person. In general, 2D can be achieved more easily and quickly, and you can do great things as a freelancer, but in contrast to 3D animation, a team is needed for very good work, although it is not impossible alone. But it is very difficult. In my opinion, go for what you are interested in. Maybe I will return to 3D works in the future.

how do you remove and cut it into 3 leg part? Im stuck there
@JafarFazel2 жыл бұрын
In the foot layer, I created three circles for the joints, and then I kept each part of the foot with its corresponding joint and removed the rest of the points and shapes as I explained in the video.

@JafarFazel2 жыл бұрын
To make the video not too long, I sometimes have to increase the speed of the video when I do repetitive tasks But I try to make it less in the next videos.
