I appreciate the effort. Very well documented. This festival is obviously the folk festival of the Bishnupriya Manipuries. Earlier,people used to take a long live from their jobs mostly from defence as most of the Bishnupriya Manipurie job holders were either in defence or teachers.They used to visit their native places to meet friends with devotion and courage.People used to prepare new dresses during this festival.In Joydeb,mainly songs written by great poet Joydeb about Lord Jogonnath is sung by all age groups in a specific manner and maintaining the folk rituals. This Joydeb is the most popular folk culture of B.M. However the oldest folk dance is rain invoking song and dance cteated in Manipur, that time a territory of present Manipur,called Khumol at least before 1500 AD.

Hey, hi Lipika. Very well documented. Just wanted to add on it would be great if the glimpse of soyan would be added. I was a part of it on that day in the temple. Yeah other days i could nt be a part as our mother passed away same time. But i did not leave the last ritual that was the soyan of Prabhu Jagannath. It was very beautiful. It had been years years together i had missed out to be a part of this festivals. I do not know much about it but I hope you do not mind on my opinion. Keep doing good job. Good luck.

Comparatively, the Video contains all historical and mythological aspects of Ratha Yatra. Moreover, it reflects the traditional and cultural concept through various dance, songs and informative speeches. I really congratulate Lipika's hard work and devotions.
