Does this mod give you all of the features that *would* have come with the vehicle, had it been equipped with factory bluetooth? I assume you wouldn't have Jaguar Voice, since it is proprietary, but can you make and receive phone calls, for example?

This mod is a standalone solution without integration into the OEM Bluetooth and Jaguar Voice. It is a separate Bluetooth module integrated into the radio.

Isn't it easier to get a Transmisor FM Bluetooth? I got one for 10 bucks, plugged it into the cig port, then change to the 87.5hz FM channel, connect it using my phone bluetooth, play music, boom it plays, no interferance at all

It is a lot easier and cheaper, indeed. But you would be amazed with the difference in quality.

Hi, I'd like to know if this would work with the x-type model with navigator screen. Also, in the current version can you make calls using this adapter? If not, can you install it and keep the factory bluetooth that works only for calls? Thanks

Hi! Yes, it works in the same way with NAVI screens also. And you can make calls with it (an external mic comes with the kit). But if you have original Bluetooth, you can keep it and use it for calls. Just connect your phone to both and set one for music and second for calls. Glad to help :)

The title says jaguar X type Bluetooth adapter I don’t see anywhere in your video what the adapter looks like what the model number is how to install it?

Fair enough, you are right. That's why it got disliked that much. Thanks for pointing that out. This adapter is of my own make, I sell them as kits for manual install. You can find all the instructions at my website jagaux.com. Technically you need to take the radio unit, disassemble it and solder some wires in. Adapter will work in the CD mode, but can be switched off to cds.

How does this work? Must a CD be in the unit playing for the Bluetooth module to work? And about the handsfree calling feature, I'm guessing it can't be in radio/CD mode for the calls to come thru?

Hi! Yes, there should be a CD inserted and playing. And yes, while in radio/CD mode, you won't be able to hear the caller.

The adapter itself can be located either behind the radio, or in the glovebox compartment. The installation process is relatively simple. I have made a huge breakthrough since 2019. It's almost plug and play now.
