JAGD TIGER - Part 2 - 1/35 TAKOM - Tank Model - [ Painting weathering ]

Let's start painting and weathering the Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer. This time, I wanted to express the edges of the camouflage pattern sharply, so I drew a complicated camouflage pattern with a brush. The results are good, but the work was much more difficult than I had imagined.The car is large, so I had a hard time erasing the uneven brushwork. Now, please watch the video. I made the same mistake when painting! I brushed it all... Should have brushed on one coat with a good edge, then airbrush one more coat! it looks better. Otherwise, a great build!!!

Since this is only the basic painting stage, it would be inappropriate to call it a failure. You can correct and recover in any way with weathering.🍺🍺🍺

IDK about the oakleaf cammo... SS never got any Jagdtigers as far as I know. I think about ten of them got picked up at the factory at the end of the war; maybe some of those crews were SS. 6th SS Panzer Army was in the area.

What is better? To complete the build with all tools and peripherals, wheels, tracks, etc attached before painting and then paint everything at once? Or to keep various sections separate, paint them separately, then attach them to the finished painted chassis to make painting the smaller components easier?

I think you did a hell of a nice job on that tank destroyer. But the way it is faded bugs me. This vehicle was almost a new vehicle. At the time you are depicting it. That means the paint is still new. This tank destroyer has not been out Long enough to fade the pain out. It needs the chipping and battle damage to show that it is an active tank destroyer. And you did a great job at that. The part that really gets to me, is that fading effect. Personally, I do not fade any of my tank. That I build when they are supposed to be that new. I understand the paint back in the day was not a great paint , but it would not fade out that fast. Everything else you have done is spot on it looks great. Now this is just a personal opinion, but I think your tank destroyer would look better if the paint was not faded out. Would like to see your next jobs? Thank you.
