I feel like a change in engine (Siege 2.0) is what would fix it. The game is 9 years old now, and Year 10 should when siege gets an upgrade: a better lighting, a better animation, especially BETTER HITREG, BETTER ANTI-CHEAT, and so on

I hope it would be just a technical update (even though the game will change completely), cause siege is not available to buy in certain countries, Russia, for example. I left because of cheaters, and it will be so ironic if I couldn't get in siege 2.0 because of update against cheaters and oldness of the engine.

As a resident of Russia, I would like to say that everything can be bought as before, though in roundabout ways, but even a five-year-old child can go through them. So all these bans are just a formality, and the developers understand this very well.

If they ever make a R6 2, I just hope they dont make their game worse like overwatch and warzone. Imagine they did it like overwatch and just rrmoved alpha packs and opened all of the ones you saved instantly

It’s ubi it 100% will be worse lol. Division 2 is a prime example. They should have kept NYC and just focused on a different borough or if they really wanted to change cities pick a bigger city like LA. They neutered the DZ and make it too casual and less grindy. All they had to do was fix some of the cheating issues, keep the DZ dark and gritty, tweak the looting slightly and freshen up some mechanics. Nope they ain’t do that. That’s what’s gonna happen to Siege 2. Won’t keep skins Won’t have the same operators The gameplay loop will change entirely

0:49 It’s too good to be true. First, is Ubisoft really going to do iSiege 2.0 even though they didn’t reach 100 operators? Second, if Ubisoft and the players lose their patience and can’t fulfill their promises then sacrifices has to be made if Siege 2.0 needs to exist.

They need to triple down on their anti cheat, its so bad right now. Vote to end match, 7 votes ends match in a draw and the person is suspended for 15, 30, 60, 120 etc minutes consecutively. Stat bans, to include KD, hit% and wall bangs, as the game already interally tracks penetration kills. Hidden matchmatching manipulation, where people with high reports get 30 and rising seconds delay hidden in their matchmaking to slow down cheater's queue rate in a match by 5-10% in a match rotation interval. Clean up of old accounts to prevent them from being bought or taken. IP address bans. And...as bad as it is, buying out cheating websites and even hiring their creators in clauses to kill the market from the bottom up. Siege has so much potential to keep going.

The only problem is the engine the game is on is not stable enough to do all that they would have to put more money in then output so it's probably not possible or worth in their eyes

I like most of your ideas but the reporting one. You could be good which a lot of people are that aren't cheating and you'll cause a drought in matchmaking. Also false reports would be a thing so that idea would be thrown to the trash tbh.

The XDefiant team litterally stated that thay had developement issues because the snowdrop engine wasn't meant to be used for fps games (wich is kinda just lazyness because the could simply just add the features thet needed into the engine). I don't really think that it would be a good idea to port siege on an already problematic engine, but i think that siege could be better and it could remove a lot of bugs. Even tho i think that just reworking the netcode and the anti-cheat would be sufficient to make the game 100 times better

Siege 2 will NEVER come. they would have to port every single asset into the new engine, every single map, operator and weapon would have to be develepod ALL over again. thats something ubisoft is not willing to do, and we all know it. they can't fix the cheating problem because of the super outdated engine, so I think they're just gonna let siege slowly die out and hope you switch over to Xdefiant. thats why they already added the Rainbow six siege faction to the game. Also, they said that 100 operators is their goal, that would take 7 more years to reach. Siege 2 is NEVER happening.

If Siege 2 is what's needed to fix it's issues it's always had, so be it. It will be an exciting fresh start. But the gameplay/control's 'feel' better not change or I will be tremendously disappointed. Siege has a unique and very smooth feel different from any other fps I've ever played. So much so, that when I play any other fps, I try to adjust my control settings to how SIEGE feels. When I read that they'd be using a new engine, I got worried. When I read that they'd be using the same engine as XDefiant, my heart sank. In my opinion, XDefiant feels way to clunky in comparison to siege's gameplay. I hope Siege 2 doesn't feel the same as XDefiant, and that it retains THE same feel as Siege or this is the end of a gaming era for me.

Oh yeah they're going to use the MMORPG engine that's isn't meant for FPS games. Doesn't have replays and has plethora of issues. Don't think they want to go back to old issues. They already rebuilt the engine it was originally built on.

I doubt the siege 2 is real, but we might need siege 2.0, BUT NOT a R6: Siege 2. That might be confusing, but hear me out: R6 as we know it is already too strained, and every new update is only going to mess up more things as we go on. A fresh start with new engine might help, but only if it either substitutes the actual game, while being the same "item" in everyones library, so you don't have to buy it again, or goes F2P. They aren't going for the former because... Ubisoft suits, and the later is a risky bet, but might justify the whole "membership" fiasco, as in "the game is free now, so we need to get more money from somewhere else". However, if they go for "this is a new game, you gonna purchase it again, because we are also killing the servers for the first one" it's only going downhill. Because even if they fix every single issue it has right now, I don't see a good chunk of the player base going back. And that will wither away those who decide to buy it again slowly. Unfortunatly, siege's prime is gone, and the novelty of a secuel might not atract enough people to keep it going; at least in the first few seasons, the game will strugle, will have to grind it's way back. And if the numbers in those critical first months/years aren't pleasing for the top brass, the game will be toast.

I've never seen the hit reg better in this games life or in any game, ever. I'd check your settings man because the servers are the only superb thing we have going for us right now. One shot head shot could be reduced to the current 20x multiplier down to 10. If you didn't know, you can actually be DBNO by a head shot by a long distance smg through a wall, I have a clip of it somewhere, maybe increase the likelihood of that.

Maybe siege 2 its not happening but new siege maybe would be happen in the future, its just my opinion. I mean they keep saying there is no siege 2 but i think they never say siege would be ported to newest engine right? maybe new siege with new engine might be possible (like dota 2 did). And again from what i know, siege development should be ended in year 10 (2025) but ubi extend the development for next 10 year (2035), so if they want make siege still compete with future game they should update the engine. No I want realistic, sliding and siege.Or rolling. Sliding would allow you to get into cover at the last second at the expense of you Losing all your momentum at the end of the slide. Rolling would allow you to get into A. Inprecise position but with great speed, Leave me you a target if you're exposed.But actually allow you to duck and roll behind surfaces that would cover you. Exploring very short but strong movement the options in siege seems like a innovation
